I'm off to the Hard Rock Casino tomorrow for my stag night. Any sensible tips to stop me losing a shed-load of money as it's a long time since I've been to any sort of Casino?

Sounds like a great idea for a Stag do, but having a plan beforehand for sensible gambling will all go out the window when you are shit faced on your arse.

My advice would be don't take more money than you can afford to lose and for christ's sake don't take a bank card.

Please please dont do that - Pick a selection of numbers adjacent to each other on the wheel I would suggest 15 4 21 2 25 17 3 & 6

Mrs P religiously stuck to numbers 2, 11, 13 24 & 30 last saturday on the roulette table. £1 on each number. Came out £100 up.

Best advice I can give is to go with a SPECIFIC amount in cash that you can afford to lose, and once its gone then leave it and hit the bar. In fact, leave your cashpoint card at home and just take the money you intend spending.

Treat your stake money as cash already lost, then anything you win is a bonus. Personally I'll take £50 tops to a casino, cos thats the max I can have fun with and lose WITHOUT getting pissed off about it.

Quite literally, one pocket for bets, one pocket for beers. Don't deviate, and you'll have a cracking night.

It's OK, I'm not confusing investment with gambling. I'd just feel a lot safer if I was spread betting. I'm just out for a good night and the wedding will cost enough - a couple of hundred on the stag night won't be missed.

I do like the idea of leaving the cash card at home, sounds safe to me. As long as I remember not to drink the taxi money...

As others have said only take what you can lose. If there is someone going who does not gamble and or drink have them look after the beer / taxi money. Failing that leave the taxi money at home near the front door. Then if you lose all your cash you can at least get a taxi home and know the money will be there to pay for it.

As for betting if you are really not bothered about winning or losing then just pick numbers that mean something. I like to use my lottery numbers.

The main thing is do not get carried away and start borrowing money to chase your losses. Have frequent breaks for beer etc.
