I should have listened to Easy. I took my bank card... They have a cashpoint machine in the casino! That was too tempting as we had been drinking from 3 and I was already £20 down from my football bets and coin-toss in the pub.

The day started well as we watched the second half of the Palace game before leaving. I knew a Palace loving fan was coming so had something to look forward to. He was treated most sympathetically when he turned up. Not.

I blew about £50 on the roulette table and another £100 on blackjack before deciding it would be wiser to spend the money on Tequila. We left about 12:30 (I have to say my recollection of this is a bit hazy) and made the last train. Actually I think we may have been close to being asked to leave because of the state my lightweight Best Man was in.

Everyone made it home safely and I have just about recovered.

My advice would be don't take more money than you can afford to lose and for christ's sake don't take a bank card.

At least you got home safely and will always remember (most of) your stag do

erm, make sure you don't play the computerised versions of roulette that you find in casino's. Try sticking to the tables. As for betting, I always start on just red or black or odds and evens to double my money straight away. I walk away if I'm £50 down or more.

Edited: didn't read the whole post. lol .

Casino should be an enjoyable night out, not a gambling fest as it is pure luck. Stick to poker or blackjack though, there is at least a bit of skill in that, unlike roulette.

That's why I moved to the blackjack table. All the roulette seemed to be was a chance to give away money. Unlike one punter, came up next to me, puts two chips on 33, wins. Leaves two chips on 33. Wins again! walks away...
