Judging by page 50 of the Daily Mirror there's not much chance of that, not the best way to find out if true

Right, come on then, Richie, give it your best shot. It's my penultimate day at work here, AND I DON'T CARE.

Neither do I...well not enough to waste the morning bickering with you anyway.

Especially not when it is so SUNNY outside.

Would it be naive to be shocked if it turns out to be true and came out this way

I for one don't believe that for a second, although it is one area we have alot of options, Hinsh, El-Abd, Lynch, Elphick...they all have one thing in common they are all young. I would have thought Butters would be the perfect pro to have alongside those young heads.... maybe he won't get as many games has he has this year but still would have thought he had earnt himself another contract.

Would have thought he would have been in more danger if we had stayed up

They did turn up late to the match last nite, as when i was in the carpark going into the ground they were going in to, this was at about 6.15. Though i did get to shake hands with them both.

I think, on the bright side of relegation, that players like Carole with clear potential will possibly have an outstanding season in League 1 which is good for us in every way.
There are some sides of his play that need polishing but at least when he came on on Saturday he had a bit of spark and it felt like something might happen when he got the ball.
(Much like when Tank came on !!)
And on that note when do you start contract negotiations Big Lad ? I for one (and certainly Mrs Wildy Ears) want to see you in the stripes next season.

:lolol: No story just my opinion really, everyone has been saying his agent wants him to get a move to the prem but to be honest i doubt he would make it there but can see him going to a team like wolves/leicester. Put it this way i cant see him wanting to get "stuck in" in league 1.

I think he is no more than an average div one player - wingers that dont cross are worthless - give me brooker anyday

I think Carole has had a cracking season and I can't see any reson why he wouldn't be a success in League 1. Paul Brooker managed it, surely they are similar players ...

Except Brooker could cross; in fact his distribution in general was much better - he always knew when to release the ball. Carole has trickery, no doubt, but dancing around in circles only makes so much of an impression before defenders get wise to the fact he has no real delivery.

He's had an okay season, but I'd be delighted to get a fee for him.

What's the utter obsession with slagging Seb off all the time - I swear this must be your dozenth post on the subject in the last couple of weeks? Why subject him in particular to such OTT criticism when you could easily do the same to any member of our squad if you chose to?

We have scored from plenty of Seb crosses this season. Your loverboy Knight at Leeds, McShane at Burnley, CKR's last-minute goal against Wednesday, Charlie's goal against Hull came from a mis-cleared Seb cross. Our most famous goal this season was a result of his dead-ball delivery at Selhurst Park. Our equaliser at Watford. That's a fine catologue of assists that none have our players have bettered this season. Yet none of this positive stuff ever appears in your shrill one-sided denunciations.

Anyone who has watched Seb play this season will know that he is not an orthodox winger who takes men on the outside, he is an attacking runner who takes the space left inside and then attempts lay-offs and one-twos with our strikers.

Of course his delivery in those situations could be improved. Is there anyone in our squad you COULD'NT say that about? Anyone whose final delivery has been beyond criticism this season? Yet, no, it's Seb who must be singled out and rubbished by you all the time.

Give him a fair break, eh?

Seb has won fans at this club not just for his obvious skills but for his up-and-at-'em workrate.

He has played more games than he has done in any season before and it's not surprising that the constant kickings by opposition defenders and injury spells has affected his form, and it is not surprising that as with Frutos who is the same boat as regards number of games played per season, he has been rested. None of that detracts from his many fine games for us this season.
