Save percentage is an irrelevant stat, PsxG - goals is a better metric as it takes into account the quality of shot that a keeper faces.

This season Steele is at -0.5 (-0.26/90min) whilst Verbruggen is at +0.2 (+0.05/90min).

This means Steele has conceded 0.5 more goals than he would be expected to based on the quality of shots he's faced, Verbruggen has saved 0.2 more goals than he would be expected to.

Last season it was Steele -6.3 (-0.37/90min) and Verbruggen -2.6 (-0.12/90min).

This shows Verbruggen is a better shot stopper.

Stats show he's better at stopping crosses.
You don't need to convince me verbruggs is a better keeper than Steele. Stevie wonder can see that.

So a) pundits divided over whether it was a penalty, and b) it wasn't Baleba who was penalised anyway.

Sussex but not by the sea
What weight does this KMI panel carry?

Confirms what I (and others) said at the time - it was very harsh/soft but not enough for VAR so "referee's call" but where the feck where our players meant to go? Our problem was that the ref was/is shit and also behaved like a homer. He puts his whistle to his mouth before Sancho even hit the floor, no thinking time at all. 5 mins later he's letting Chelsea take a free kick 10 yards away from the actual foul. Had this been against a top 4 team, or the other way around, then the media would still be talking about Peter Banks today.

Oh ffs. This sucks.

JPVH was playing brilliantly. He broke.
Pedro. Broken.
O’r injured 6 mins into debut.
Now Baleba.

Our luck is ridiculous with injuries.

So far its been really difficult to get detail on what happened but first match reports talk about how the injuries (they had another one) could possibly affect the rest of Cameroons qualifing. Too early in the game to get carried off for no reason or for timewasting or whatever.

It might be bad...

I flicked through the match on YouTube couldn’t see where he got injured saw him stretchered off but was sitting up and didn’t appear to be in pain and then saw him standing up after that so hopefully not too bad.
Yeah I'm not sure the match reports in French that I'm reading are actually made by people who saw the games...
In various Cameroonian Facebook groups there doesn't seem to be a lot of concern. Hopefully he's fine.
