if that coach is the same one that was being escorted along preston road about 15 mins to ko, then there didn't appear to be many Liz Costa-types on there......

That'll be it, escorted by a police bike. There were a few of them trying to get off by the looks of things but I think the driver was under pretty strict orders to get out of town.

The touching his head thing he does is in response to their calling him a "rag-top" and is an "in" joke.

What a load of old bollocks!

The 'Ayatollah' has been used by City fans since 1991 - a decade before Hammam arrived at the club. It has absolutely nothing to do with either the Soul Crew or Cardiff's current owner.

Olympic swimmer David Davies did the 'Ayatollah' when he went onto the podium to collect his bronze medal in Athens. And Welsh international rugby player Gareth Thomas does the 'Ayatollah' every time he scores a try for his country. Neither are members of the Soul Crew to my knowledge.

I love Kev's 'Soul Crew coach' story. Another load of old bollocks!

but really not a good idea to rattle the cage

I'm told that they kicked-off at Forest, so i'm sure they have not all grown up now!

Not entirely bollocks, just stretching the truth beyond belief. It was a coach hired from Bridgend full of rather unsavoury looking types being escorted out of town with a few glasses pelted at it for good measure on the way. Nothing to report really but your boys did come down.

To be fair, the original post starts"My mate got told", so is this really any worse than all the other rumours we get on here?

whats the difference mate?

The Valley RAMS are an official supporters club set up in 2001 and initially funded by Sam Hammam. They provide coach travel to all away games and pick up all over South Wales.

The Soul Crew are hooligans who almost always travel by train.

So why was the coach escorted out of town?

How should I know? Perhaps they had been misbehaving. Perhaps they were being taken away from an area where Brighton fans were throwing glasses at them. Perhaps the whole story is complete and utter bollocks.

Someone has mentioned a coach full of Cardiff fans being escorted out of town by one police bike. If this was a coach full of hooligans can you honestly see that happening? Would they be likely to go so quietly?

Does anybody know for sure where this coach was being escorted to? Did anybody follow it?

Were there any reports of football-related trouble anywhere in Brighton or its surrounding areas last night?

Thought not.....

Exactly.

It could have been anything, maybe the OB didn't want them there or something. There was NO trouble anywhere in town last night, there must have been a reason for the coach leaving town but I have no idea what it was.

Some of our lot had been out looking for them but they obviously didn't come down if that coach was the official one. For the record the coach was being escorted on the main road out of town doing quite a speed probably due to galsses being aimed at it. It's a nothing story fuelled by rumours I would imagine.

Sounds like it Chappers.

We have two official supporters clubs: the Cardiff City Supporters Club and the Valley RAMS.

The CCSC are regarded as the 'pop and crisps' brigade and comprise of families for the main part, whereas the RAMS like a drink and usually go to a pub in the town we are visiting that has been pre-arranged with the local police. Perhaps in this case they hadn't pre-arranged a pub with the police and had stopped at one where they weren't welcome, hence the one-man escort away from that particular area.

I find it very hard to believe that a coach full of City fans would be escorted out of town for no reason. And if there was no trouble then the police would have no reason to escort anybody out of town!

And, to be honest, I can't imagine the Soul Crew would have bothered with last night's game. They have bigger fish to fry - it's Millwall away on Saturday!

Speaking as the leader of the Brighton Headhunters I'd just like to say we gave the taffs a real good kicking last night, it was fun.

Crusher and Knuckles got busted by the pigs but we put at least 10 of them in Hospital.
