Arsenal wasted so many chances in the first leg. They’ve been terrible tonight

Referee announcing the decision is utter unnecessary bollocks for me! Feels like American football which I've always thought is too fragmented.
What absolute pillock thought that would add anything.

If they want to make any discernible change to refereeing, stop sending the refs over to the monitor - literally robbing fans of money that could be spent watching football instead spent watching a man look at a screen (and no they never make it up with injury time). Oh and stop the players swearing at the refs. Start booking or sending them off and see what happens. Morons.

Announcing the offside adds no value at all. The vast majority of the crowd will not have had a decent view of the incident so will accept that VAR has made the correct decision, or is the announcement for the TV viewers?? We know it’s offside because of where and how the game restarts

100% agree. If it’s a ‘clear and obvious error’, VAR should simply tell them to change their decision (like in cricket for example) and get on with the game. As they have apparently set the bar higher for ‘clear and obvious’, they’re only going to be called to the screen to change their decision - so just change it
