No. Do you mean the van Dijk - Richarlison thing? No way is that a straight red.In fairness to Spurs, Liverpool should have been down to 10 men in the first couple of minutes.

Albeit in the wrong order...Something terribly familiar about exiting a competition after losing by an aggregate of 4-1, having shipped four away and scored one at home…
It was a few years before. 1993. Although Tottenham v Arsenal was played at Wembley in 1991. I guess that set the text for it.
Yes, great goal. I ponder that the FA decided it was a better option than packing them off to Villa Park. Although I wonder that Twickenham could have been an option. But I don't believe it's ever been mooted. Twickers would be great football venue. Top stadium.I enjoyed that, watched from home with a hangover. Gazza!
Makes you wonder how differently we would have felt had we taken a 1-0 lead to the Stadio Olimpico then been thrashed 4-0. Certainly seemed at the time as though it couldn’t be worse.Albeit in the wrong order...

I disagree. I think van Dijk absolutely knows where Richarlison is, and absolutely attempts to connect his elbow to cause harm, which it did. The Liverpool captain is unlikely to be sent off ever, let alone at Anfield though. Different interpretations of the game I guess. It's both part of the beauty and frustration of football.No. Do you mean the van Dijk - Richarlison thing? No way is that a straight red.

I agree. Richarlison is a sausage. He was deliberately elbowed though.Richarlison, no surprise, was embarrassing. Great video on YT of him writhing around in faux pain.
