Thoroughly pissed me off that we constantly de prioritise this competition.

Every year we go out because we rest too many players.

This year, we play a heavily changed team against a (maybe slightly less) heavily changed team from Liverpool. Guess what happens? They are slightly better than us. Then we play our first team against them at the weekend. Guess what? They are slightly better than us.

We'd have been better off doing it the other way round

Spot on. I don't get it. Surely the League Cup represents our best chance of winning anything ? I haven't been through the stats but my memory tells me that our policy of resting first teamers for upcoming matches rarely works. Play your best team in the cups ! It's about the only thing I admire about Palace , as they do. (It doesn't work for them but at least they try )
