I had been using a dodgy online company for the last couple of years just because nobody else got close to their quotes, but after their persistent failings in getting insurance docs out to me I decided I'd just have to pay that little bit extra and go with someone a little more reputable.

Was just about to agree with Admiral who came within £60 of my renewal quote when I noticed my bank advertising their motor quotes as I was doing my internet banking. HSBC beat even my dodgy old insurers, by £20, which in turn made it £80 cheaper than anyone else!

Hurrah for HSBC

we spend a bloody fortune on insurance every year, I reckon if we'd saved all that for ten years we could afford to underwrite ourselves

having said that they did cough up £2200 when I killed my watch earlier this year

I've been with Direct Line for a couple of years.

Can't fault their service when I've had to claim.

If you've got an old banger, insure it with Churchill and then write it off, losing them money overall. :jester:

Shoreham of course
I used to be with Sainsbury's, but the premium stayed the same this year and did not go down, so I changed to BUDGET.
