Always thought his family were pushing the whole ‘Captain Tom’ thing hard. Raised an eyebrow to see his grandson on ‘celebs on dating’ and now turns out his family took out more money from the charity as ‘consultancy fees’ than was paid to the British Legion

Hmm, my wife and I both thought early on that the daughter had an ‘eye for the main chance’.
Never took to her.

Don't where to find it online, but I saw, via a post on Twitter, that you could buy a Captain Tom 'throw' for your bed online somewhere.

It's about 30 notes, if anyone's interested, but goodness only knows where that money goes ???

This is about as surprising as finding out there were lockdown breaches in government. No surprises whatsoever, it was inevitably going to come out at some point. I was stunned by how many people seemed genuinely surprised by Boris and his mates taking the p*ss left, right and centre but I find it hard to believe people weren't expecting the family of Captain Sir Tom to bank a healthy chunk of cash.

As the story above says, the money they have raised has nothing to do with the money raised during lockdown.
