This is the same Capello who f***ed up his Real madrid career, by NOT playing Beckham?

Are the FA not going back into the realms of "2nd choice" ? ie Mourinho turns them down, let's go for Capello...........might I suggest we try and get Roy Hodgson??
How many other 'top' international countries have foreign managers, Ican't think of any,but am willing to be corrected..:bigwave:

Well actually, this is the same Capello who could have saved Beckham's career, he was playing shit until he was dropped, then he worked his bollocks off, got back in and also played his way back into the England squad.

Beckham ruined his own career by deciding to retire to Hollywood just because he got dropped.

Well yes but it's hardly a panic appointment like McClaren, Capello is a top quality manager.

.

If you're gonna be condescending at least stick to the facts. Capello said Beckham would never play for Madrid again, he was not trying to spur him into performing he just wanted rid of him. Capello is a fantastic enough manager to have to deal with mistakes his made

Can he speak English?
Probably an advantage if he can't. He'll remain in blissful ignorance of what everybody's saying about him when it all goes sour.

I think I'd prefer Lippi on the grounds his teams aren't quite so boring. Still, the Germans aren't renowned for their flowing football either so I'll take pragmatic and successful if you're offering it.

Svens teams played dullish football and he got flamed for it.

Capello dropped him because he was playing badly
Beckham then signed a pre contract with LA Galaxy
Then Capello said he would never play for Madrid again
Then Beckham forced his way back in

Those are the facts?

None of the English candidates are good enough, and why British?
