Apologies if posted elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything in the Argus or official site.

I know that the capacity will eventually be 30,725 by 2013, but does anyone have the figure for the East Upper tier and South stand corners that are apparently going in next summer (assuming planning permission resolved).

Ta

It would also be interesting to know if the 1901 middle tier wrapping around the corners is to be done in unison with the lower corner going in, or both at the same time, and in that case, when.

Corners surely can't be more than 1k each so with the North ones not filled yet and presumably some of the 1901 waiting until 2013, would say 27.5k sounds about right.

I hope it doesn't go tits up and end up like Darlington

Ridiculous. Darlo have no history of support. Building more than a 10k stadium was sheer folly. We have that support plus a new influx of young fans. The ground may not always be full but, if we remain at least at this level there'll be enough high profile games per season to make it worthwhile.

They built a massive stadium in Darlington hoping to improve crowds and attracting fans in the area who were watching Middlesbrough or Newcastle United. It went tits up from the start , the crowds didn't turn up to a venue out of town and difficult to get to. Little or hardly any income meant they couldn't bring in better players to gain promotion , so they muddled along and ended up in the Conference. The current Chairman has walked away after losing a fortune because he thought the council would lift a restrictive covenant on the land surrounding the stadium which is ripe for retail/housing development which would have got him his money back and a very tidy profit.

does anyone have a link to the diagrams which show how expansion might look? I saw them on my phone but now can't find them.

As someone on the ST waiting list I am delighted that the ESU will be in over the summer

With those plans can certainly see some bigger crowds next season. Palace, West Ham, Stains, Forest and Leeds would all have brought more in the South had the capacity existed. Add to that the view from the upper library and we should regularly have 25k next year.

I doubt they will give extra to away fans unless the Albion dont sell the seats. With extra season tickets and fans like myself who go to the odd game then I expect the extra seats will be taken by Brighton fans. certainly the Albion would have no problem selling them for rivalries like palace/pompey, as well as bigger clubs like Leeds.

Southampton
1545 in south corners, 3445 in east stand, 810 for the north corners

I'm probably being stupid, but is the reason the North corners are a lot less because of the access tunnel in the North East? Is it really that much difference?
