What insults are you going to explain this away with?

Explain what exactly?

"friendly fire" - is that what a child shot by a high powered rifle situated in an inpregnable watchtower a mile away is?

Eh? Was this in the Gaurdian as I must of missed it. Its not Israeli policy to kill Kids thats why they have been missiling hamas leaders in there cars.
Still even if I accept your dubious suposision. Soldeir breaking rules is like Duck goes quack. 1 rogue does not add up to systematic slaughter like the suicide bombings.

This is GREAT news!!

What with the US forces engaged in Afganistan and Iraq whilst keeping a close eye on North Korea already. If they move into Iran and Syria too it will leave them wide open for an invation!!!

Why does everyone on here apart from Looney seem to think Iran are all peace loving now?

They have said they would love to nuke other countries and they have a history of harbouring terrorists.

Richie, I want you to show proof that Iran have said that theyd LOVE to nuke another country please! What a load if shite!

The problem is that Blair and the Labour Party aren't the same thing, Tom. Both Brighton's Labour MPs are not Blair fans and want something more honest and better for the British people than he provides.

I know that mate and I 100% agree with you. But I repeat that there HAS to be a mechanism for reining Blair in. Sadly the Labour Party has shown that it is utterly incapable of doing so - and is alienating longtime Labour voters in unprecedented numbers. And I'm talking grass-roots, rank-and-file Labour supporters. I'd like nothing more than for Labour to kick Blair's butt out of office but I honestly don't see any way that that can be achieved other than witholding a vote for the party. The run-up to the Iraq war, when the entire country was dragged with the deepest reluctance into Bush's immoral and illegal adventure on the say-so of one deluded muppet convinced me of that. If the country has a leader that doesn't even stop and do a double-take when there's a million electors marching through the capital in protest at his war-mongering, then frankly regime change is well overdue. Either from within the party, or by removing the party from office.

Richie go back to my original note... the reason why I think Bush is wrong about Iran is because WE'VE GOT PEOPLE ON THE GROUND THERE! Which is more than Bush has. The country has changed massively over the last 3 yrs. people can now lead a normal life at home..... things are changing (not fast enough by our standards) but they are changing... and as I said earlier there is a difference between politicos spouting off to their people to keep the hardliners quiet and what is actually real.

As for history you are quite right and those nasty hardliners are still there and powerful... but they are being outmanoevred by a peaceful silent revolutuion. Bush sticking his foot in will just send us back to 1979 when nationalism will push the moderates back into the hardliners camp.

And by the way, Iran has the fastest growing population outside China with a lot more mountainous areas than even Afghanistan so Iran would really be a Vietnam.

Give Iran time.... and let's be a little more patient.

Hmm, probably is though - as relatives of murdered 8 year olds make good fodder for suicide bombings, and being cynical the current Israeli regime needs these to continue in order to paint all Palestinians as crazed terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda, this plays well in America.

So soldeirs (sic) can't be trusted to maintain the rule of law and order - and yet these are the people who are occupying Iraq and that will disarm Syria and Iran, nice one!
