I really hate missing games but today I will not be attending due to the farcical public transport. Driving not an option so would have to get from Eastbourne to Lewes before embarking on the shuttle buses with same issue coming home. It's more hassle than it's worth so I'll sit and watch it on the box. Would love to be there but the fact it's on the t.v and I'll save myself a small fortune on taxi fares & beer has convinced me not to bother.

Personally, in this day-and-age, I cannot see any excuse for not running services on Boxing Day, or Christmas Day. As long as staff are adequately compensated and not forced to work there’s really no reason why they can’t run. It’s baffling why we have this discussion every year.

Totally agree; just trying to point out it isn't some Brighton or Sussex thing but it is all over the country on Boxing Day.

Anyone know where the pick up point is for the shuttle back to Brighton station post match?

I've always thought the location of the stadium was awful from an access point of view.

I'd be buying up the closed down toy/pet/furniture shops on that trading estate in Hove, it'll be derelict soon so should be cheap. or build an Island and do it where the pier was and TB can have a casino there as well.
Too late, they've built expensive flats there now.

I read that the government asked the rail companies to reconsider and run a restricted service today but either them or the unions declined the request,.
Then they should legislate to make it happen. It's a complete farce that public transport shuts down over Christmas in this country and when you have a major sports venue, the location of which was based on the availability of an efficient rail service (don't laugh) it's an embarrassment and a disgrace.
