Southern really are ****ing morons for not putting a full service on on boxing day for this. They KNEW there was a 50/50 shot of a home game AND we have already payed for the service. Utter ***** if you ask me.

They probably would have liked to but it would only give the unions another one excuse to strike

Why!? They have a job to do, they get paid to do it, they should do it. Not sure what the unions would be annoyed about?

Because, as far as I can work out, the train drivers’ union look for any excuse to strike these days. Being made to work on Boxing Day would be all out war

Should they have not said something 10 years ago when the travel plan was put in place?

Not sure how the travel plan works but if it’s 10 ten years old should it not be reviewed? I wonder if the prospect of holding games early evening on Boxing Day with a 30000 capacity Amex was even considered?

Architects sat around a table one Friday night in a pub.
"So, this Falmer place, any thoughts"
"Yeh, little ol' Brighton club. Only good for 3rd tier football. 20K ground will do and they'll struggle to get that many"
"Think you're right. Leave out any seats in the Upper East to start with and put them in if they get to the second tier"

I've always thought the location of the stadium was awful from an access point of view.

I'd be buying up the closed down toy/pet/furniture shops on that trading estate in Hove, it'll be derelict soon so should be cheap. or build an Island and do it where the pier was and TB can have a casino there as well.

I'm using the P&R at Sainsburys tomorrow but will now be parking up in a different car than booked. Will this be an issue as the ticket will have a different reg on it to my car?

Drive down from Reigate, park the other side of Hove Park, stroll over to the ground and into the Goldstone. Never much of a problem, even when it was rammed.
Ah, life was simple then!
Anyway, Happy Christmas to one and all and here's to wishing for a few points!:D

I have gone through various options for this game from watching on sky to P & R then settled on the bus from Lewes but reading this thread about the probable delays getting home have decided against that and am now being dropped off and picked up within easy walking distance of the ground. I wonder how it would be if PB and TB had the same problem getting to a game as some supporters encounter. I would guarantee it wouldn't happen many times.

It is, but isn't that the modern face of football? Stadiums used to be part of a town, now they are built on the outskirts, presumably 'cos the land is cheaper and more accessible to buy. According to Dick Knight in his book it was the only place possible.
