It was the sort of game that would have suited Gilmour. He would have got us playing just like Lallana did near the end.
Surely Lallana starts a game like this or at least comes on much sooner. Game was calling out for a bit of quality on the ball. Either he's fit or he isn't. Just really not sure what what RDZ is up to. He doesn't seem to be managing the team at the moment.

Can't see anything but losses and 1 or 2 draws 'til the end of the season.

I've correctly predicted the score 3 weeks running, though. If only I were a betting man...

.
Yep. I said after the Forest game that would be our last league win of the season except for Burnley away, turns out I was optimistic.

Probably our last league win of the season came on the 10th March. Depressing.

I'm starting to feel genuinely anxious about us being relegated next season.

If we put aside August and the first half of September, we're left with only a few decent games, while the rest have been utterly disappointing. Our confidence seems to be lacking, and we're missing quality on the field.

We act and play as a pos 18-20 team.

However, we do possess some aces up our sleeve: Mitoma, March, Ensico, and Gilmour. And a few wild cards like Hinshelwood, Ferguson, and Undav which I keep telling myself will save us next season.

Absolutely dreadful. Awful. Burnley miles better first half, us in the second but we are so poorly coached (for what it's worth RDZ felt on another level last season). Yes we have had injuries, we may be not as confident but what the f*** was that after a whole week's training? We're very lucky to have a point and could have played for 2 days and not scored a goal on our own.

JP - petulant. Get your shot off you moron.
Baleba - one of our better players but he is so one footed, rash (gives away unnecessary fouls) and can't pass effectively forwards. AT fault today for the goal. I don't like his attutude but there's potential there.
Welbeck - waste of time today
Gross - best player but is literally running in cement. He seems perpetually exhausted even taking a set piece.
Adringra - 'agricultural' at best
Veltman - not half the player from last year
Moder - is the epitome of a Potter player. Offers very little and never really has. He's good at football obviously but in the position he plays for us, he can't beat a man, outjump a man, assist or score. If we want to get better, we need to move on from him and giving him more time from his injury is not going to miraculously create attributes he DOESN'T have
Pervis - liability and felt relieved he went off.
Lalanna - it was like bringing your Dad on.

Top 10 finish is great and we did well in the Europa league. Am concerned RDZ is not the man to turn this round. We look really, really poor right now.

Why didn’t Lallana shoot at the death. He might have stuck it in row z or the keeper might have saved it, but he should have at least taken the chance. We look so shot shy at the moment.
Better to have not missed rather than trying and missing 🤔. Yep, lack of confidence through much of the squad maybe.

My head is in the transfer window and next season now. Europe conceded today.

The club must sort this horrific injury issue and provide RDZ with the required backup for next season. We need a midfield overhaul. Without Gilmour, we look so clueless.
Even with Gilmour we look clueless.

It's Poytter ball.

We've combined the peak snooze, back side, back of Poyet with the toothless barndoor, couldn't score in a month of Sundays of peak pants Potter.

Full on Potterball is back, that was a hard watch. We got away with a point

The back passing and slowing things down is fecking unforgivable imo. We have injuries but the style of play is back to negative as pretty well every manager has worked out De Zerbi ball now and there is no plan B. Potter got crucified for it from quite a few.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, we all knew it wouldn’t last though didn’t we?

March is a massive loss who isn't spoken about as much as he should re the injuries.
Pre injury was probably our moat consistent player and a constant threat.
Having him back will be huge- we just don't have a right side at the moment. Barely a left but absolutely no right.

Was thinking this earlier. The closest we currently resemble is Poyet at his most tedious.

But what would you say were the negatives from today's performance?

Your head is never out of the transfer window - you know this 😂

Agree completely with you though - I do think Baleba shows a lot of promise but he looks a bit unstructured out there - actually they all do at the moment.

This is what De Zerbi ball looks like with a squad that isn’t very good at De Zerbi ball - too much rotation because of injuries, everyone struggling to develop partnerships and cohesion - an anathema to a system that relies on communication for perfect timing in the passing and in keeping possession.

I don’t want to hear about us missing March or Mitoma.

Such a shit fizzle out of a season, we have the quality to steamroller Burnley, particularly in the second half when it was wide open

Why is it that non of us players want to move and make space for a pass or something else to run in it. Have they been told not to?

So frustrating, feels like the season ended 4 weeks ago

Bollocks!!
