Buckley was very injury-prone at Watford. Talented player but a bit of a pasta legs. Lua Lua and Vicente are also injury-prone. All three are worth nursing for their impact when fit. With the rest it's just been bad luck.

However if Buckley and Vicente weren't injury prone would they be with us.......... I'm not so sure about that

He managed to play 37 games last season for Watford, so he didn't miss that many games through injury.

I think Darren Anderton was less injury prone than Buckley. Seems Barnes did an excellent job as his replacement. It sounded like it on the radio and I haven't seen a new Barnes is shit thread so he must have done well

What's happened with the
touch of the amazing fitness coach? We've had Buckley and Hoskins since the start of June yet they've barely played 3 league games between them.

Makes you wonder a teeny weeny bit about our pre-signing medicals perhaps?Looks like Gus is a manager prepared to take something of a risk in signing talented but possibly injury prone players, hoping they can stay 'fittish'.Add Vicente to the mix and bingo,we have a problem.
Not saying Gus is wrong but some managers may not have the same desire to sign players such as this!

This is ridiculous Hoskins and Buckley were clearly both fit when we signed them.

Some of the comments about our injuries are just stupid and I never realised NSC had do many qualified medical professionals.

Or perhaps it's just people taking some bad luck with injuries and manifesting it into some ridiculous conclusions.

I will go with the latter

Unbelievable thread. Buckley's goal vs Donnie was worth £200k alone in terms of what that meant to the fans. Since the he's had some injuries - get behind him you pussies, we're gonna need him and there's a long way to go!

Worryingly I think that Kitson was the last person to get injured in a match warm up?? Buckley seems to have ongoing problems. Are they all hamstring, I don't know but it is a worry imo. I'm not sure that anyone has suggested that he's no good, so why are you telling us to get behind him? Chance would be a fine thing.

Bit silly people are writing Buckley off already.
Take into account he's a young lad & his body is still growing he's likely to pick up these sorts of injuries. But when he's fit & healthy i can see him being one of our most important players.

Just a view,Seasider,so calm down. One doesn't have to be a qualified medic to put forward such a view.I also stand by my claim that some managers are more likely to take a gamble on players with a history of injuries, than others. That is all.
