My worry is this is all from a very small paragraph abroad linking us and Brentford (who literally can’t sign him unless they terminated the Regulon loan) - so has there been any other credible source other than the sun journo bloke…?

Bryan Gil's number 1 and he's going to prove it
With goals we'll recall for a thousand years
And Gil fills my heart with the sound of music
And Gil scores again and the Amex cheers

Starting a revolution from my bed
Usually in the last 10-20 mins of a game when we're behind and chasing a goal. Can't recall us doing it first half or when level.
2 against Stoke (Dunk to draw level, Pedro to go ahead)
1 against Palace (Welbeck to level )
1 against Burnley (Adingra to level)
1 against Brentford (Hinshelwood to go ahead)
1 against Forest (Pedro to go ahead)
1 against Everton (own goal to level)
1 against Liverpool (Dunk to level)
2 against Bournemouth (own goal to level, Mitoma to extend lead)
1 against Man United (Welbeck to go ahead)
2 against Wolves (March to extend lead both times)
1 against Luton (March to go ahead)

14 goals from crosses suggests we either a) cross it pretty often or b) are incredibly efficient when we do cross it

Quick look at Prem stats shows we are 10th for attempted crosses, so it’s probably a bit of both.

Roughly works out as:

43% to draw level
36% to go ahead
21% to extend lead

So kind of matches up with what you said re: chasing a goal, but having said that once we’re ahead there’s less need to cross as we’re happy to keep the ball and recycle it until an opportunity opens up.

Eh? He turned the game for them a few weeks ago. He looked plenty quick enough then. I remember saying at the time “thank f*** he didn’t start”.
Yes, I too was impressed when he came on and recall looking at the scoreboard for number 22, I think he was, to find out who was playing so well. Might well be worth a loan punt and give competition for the two currently away wingers.

He’d also be eligible for the Europa so it makes a lot of sense. Is he cup tied in the FA Cup?
We can only add 3 players to the Europa League squad. Moder, Enciso, Barco are not in the squad, so if he does sign one of the other 3 would have to miss out (plus we need to drop 2 players to accommodate more than 1 addition to the squad).

He’s cup tied for the FA Cup as he came on as a sub in Spurs win over Burnley.

Of course we cross the ball. In fact one of the obvious things against Wolves was how awful we are it with certain players missing.

I guess that the logical thing would be that he'd be signed solely for the Premier League in that case. I think we'll likely drop Dahoud from the Europa squad at this rate which would allow us to add Barco and Enciso. That still leaves us with six players who can play CM (Gross, Lallana, Milner, Gilmour, Baleba, Hinshelwood) in the squad which is too many, seven if you include Barco as available to play there.

With Fati, Adingra, Mitoma, Enciso all in the squad, and Pedro and Welbeck able to play out wide (and maybe Lamptey) would he really be a necessary addition to the Europa squad?
