Brighton - In your face
Upson led the defence very well, as ever. Clean sheet and very rarely did they get in the area, despite the antics of Bruno today! Bit weird thread if you ask me.

It's a shame really because until Bruno got injured last season he was brilliant, never really got back to that standard. Today I noticed that when he had a clear pass on to Ince who could've played it forward to david, he would go back to Greer or kuszczak instead, quite frustrating.

Upson in the first half made three massive blunders. He was much better in the second half.

And yet, we won 3-0.

You wouldn't think so looking at some of the posts tonight, Personally I thought our defence done well considering the lack of experience in front of them and the pressure they had to cope with at times.

That accurately describes how I saw Upson today.

In fairness to Bruno, the lad he was up against was excellent IMO, easily their biggest threat. Had he played on the right he would have caused Ward just as many problems.

Was that their number 7, King? I thought he was their best player.

Upson lead the defence? Very strange comment. For all my criticisms of Upson individually, our defensive record speaks for itself and for all King's good play against Bruno, his shots were comfortable for any competant goalkeeper to save.

Bruno = 5 parts brilliant and 5 parts disastrous.

Upson = bloody awful first half, better in the second but way off form.

Are you sure there were brilliant bits to Bruno's play? Flashy isn't the same

Bruno made one great defence splitting pass to Dave in the first half, other than that he was hopeless. Time for Calde to have a go

Bruno worst performance at full back I've seen for a while. Nearly gave them a clear pen and was pulling up his shorts when their winger was crossing the ball. Total lack of concentrating. Calderon has to come back next game.

Awful first half. Don't know how we won that 3-0

Bruno has been dreadful for ages... Why we bother when Calderon is a better alternative I don't understand

All of this. Bruno was terrible for the first 75 minutes today - truly dreadful. Okay for the last 15.

Agree - only Ok when Bridcutt came on. He is a mistake waiting to happen , even stopped to pull up his socks when Blackburn came down his wing letting them get behind defence - I would rather Oscar play AEA as right back

I wonder if Rohan Ince could play as a centre back in the future??

He did but Oscar decided his better position was as a defending midfielder if he wants to progress in the game, It seems to be working as he's got into the 1st team playing there.

I think someone in the crowd must have shouted 'pull your socks up Bruno!"

I posted sometime ago that Bruno playing ahead of Calderon can only be because he is a Nathan Jones type player.

Calders on this seasons form should be starting ahead of Bruno. Most people can see that.

Bloody hell all this after a 3-0 clean sheet win where we defended pretty well throughout, most if their shots were medium-long distance efforts. Cheer up chumps!!
