Any other NSCers running this on Sunday ?. Should be a good crowd - all 3,000 places have gone. I have`nt done this race for a while but from memory its flat and very fast - can be a bit challenging if its windy as well.

Me too.

Hoping the weather will be like today and not like the high winds and rain forecast for tomorrow and Thursday.

As someone who has not done a 10K for over 13 years and is signed up for the marathon - it seemed a long old way. I was aiming for a 60 minute time - and ran out of gas at the end so finished on 1.5 minutes over. It is going to take a lot of work to got to the start of the marathon in reasonable condition .................... but the conditions were ideal today, overcast, no wind. Saw the History Man - respect for a 47 minute time ...............

My first 10k too. Did it in 51 mins. Quite pleased with that but the half marathon and marathon seem even more daunting now.

41:35. Beat my PB (same race last year) by 2:40 so happy with that.

Dont reckon you are going to get a quicker course particularly as the weather was pretty perfect.

Who was the chap with the Skint training top on (gave you a "Come on you Super Seagull" cheer just after the Brighton Centre on the home run)!

Respect. I also did a few half-marathons more than 10 years ago - and they were a long way.

If you are doing 51 minutes now - you are on course for a respectable time.

I am planning on being a bit fitter come March. Injuries permitting.

That may have been me. If it was the blue one.

Respect for your time.

It was blue. Recall you had a beard/goaty and think you were with a lady? If it was you, you arent old enough to be Dick Knight's Mumm (unless that's his champagne vintage!).

My only advice re marathon training is little and often, with 4 or 5 18-20 milers in the 6 weeks before the big one.
