British Open - Who will win ?, is Tiger worth backing at last

David Duval has lost the plot bigtime. 250 - should be like 2 million and 50. He's only played a few times this season and hasn't been very good. Shame really as it looked like he could mix it with the best a few years ago.

Tiger is now at 8/1 and has been replaced as favourite by Ernie Els.

Probably soemthing to do with an afternoon tee off on day 1. An early start is usually an advantage on a links course as the wind gets stronger during the day generally.

My 3 main fancies Garcia, Appelby & Furyk have been steadily backed on Betfair all day. I expect at least two of these to feature in the Racing Post's preview Tomorrow. Reckon he will also go for one of Els or Woods as he likes to back favourites.

Bounced back to the top as it's half time (in football terms).

My Monty tip may prove a good one although he is prone to go from hero to zero very quickly.

Anyone fancy picking a winner

I think Vijay Singh is ideally placed but not at huge odds. Its still anyone's with the likes of Els, Goosen & Mickelson not too far away. Can't see Woods making a challenge as he's not swinging the club anywhere near well enough to sustain a challenge Tomorrow afternoon. It will be a good afternoon's entertainment if the BBC cameramen can actually pick up the balls in the air Today !!
The BBCs fixation with Woods is also bloody annoying too

Also the BBC seem to be more interested with what is happening on the beach, showing endless shots of " man throwing stick to dog " and " man on a waterski ".

Woods is the Liverpool of Golf.

Too right, there are other players and he's not the favourite.

However we were all correct on Duval, flew all the way over and never played

I've gone for Skip Kendall at the reasonable price of 14/1.

Woods is now a jobbing golfer. A good golfer but no different to 20 or 30 others. He will do the circiuts and pick up $ 5 000 000 a year but he time has come and gone. Els is miles ahead of him now.

Levett just chipped in to take the lead and Woods chipped in from the bunker.

Awesome golf
