Followed by scrapping F1 which is what would happen if Ecclestone pulled out.

Probably not a bad thing in my view, GP2 is far better, or formula BMW, or any other of the numerous series which are not stuck so far up their own arses that the regular man on the street can't get within 500 yards of their godly souls in the paddock for fear of intimidating the air that they breath, or some such nonsense.

We were on the inner paddock all weekend, and the great machine that is F1 is quite incredible - does nothing for the local economy as its all trucked in from Europe (staff included), not accessible by anyone other than those who are microchipped, we did get in the pits for our race as they were packing up, most of the F1 mechanics did stick around and watch our race which was nice, and did seem interested.....Not sure we'll go again - even if we're the support race again...

Weather was shite frankly!

Part of the reason I dont watch much F1, to me its an overrated form of racing that just is'nt as exciting as an form of Touring Cars for example! Wheres the fun in not being able to nudge the bloke infront into making a mistake!?! :)

Funny that though - in our series any contact gets hauled before the clerk of the course, and suspended for 1-2 races. I suppose i can see the excitement from a fans perspective, and the BTCC have made it acceptable (sadly also the Aussie V8's), but from my perspective, if you need to nudge/bump/sideswipe then you're a crap driver....

I was at the British GP all weekend and as a motorsport fan I enjoyed everything - as I do every year. The highlight for me this year (apart from Lewis winning) were the historics after the main Grand Prix. You really didnt know where to look as there was overtaking going on everywhere! I sat at Copse Corner and the start in the historics was fantastic.. My grandad was in his element as he has been going to motorsport meetings for years and these were the cars he grew up watching!

Interesting to see all the "Lewis band waggon Hamilton" fan boys didnt stay behind to see what was a great race!

well I'm not talking deliberate smashing like banger racing :lolol: the odd gently "hurry up" nudge and door scraping adds to the excitement in BTCC & V8Supercars for me, BTCC has gone abit OTT with it granted but purely from a spectators viewpoint it does add something cool into the sport.

Exactly what I'm saying - I guess you haven't realized my husband raced our Cortina in the Historic support race!

Gonna be at Brands for the WTCC later this month and they have a Swingin' 60s Grid so should be some gorgeous machines to witness then, hope to get a paddock pass and get close to them aswell.
