Bristol City - the worst opposition yet at the Amex?

Two attempts on target on the last ten minutes. I thought we were in second gear for most of the game, yet there for the taking in that short period between CMS going off and Calderon scoring. The confidence drained out of the side when CMS and JFC went off but we we ended up comfortable winners. Coventry were poor, but were Brizzle worse?

They were very weak unexpectably so
Could sense we were going to win today after the first 15 minutes
They gave us far too much time on the ball and played with no conviction
They only started to play last 15 minutes after their subs came on
I'm glad we got the 2nd mind you as it was the type of game where they might have popped up with an un-deserved equalizer late on

For me, it's close between Brizzle and oddly enough, a team that came here and won. Burnley offered very little against our nine men, and we really should have got something out of that game despite a two-man deficit.

Looking at Bristol City's squad at the back of the programme ahead of kick-off, I thought it looked a pretty strong squad, probably one of the best eight or nine in this division on paper. But then seeing them on the pitch today, it was clear why they are so far down the table. There was no invention at all until Bolasie came on, and if they played like they did today every week, they could be cautiously looking over their shoulders towards the end of this season.

Burnley were dreadful but have been on fire since they played us. Haven't Bristol beaten Southampton home and away this season? Bizarre division, even crappy Crystal Palace have shown a bit of form here and there

Burnley and Bristol City were pretty shite. Wasn't very confident going in to todays game for some reason - when JFC and CMS went off even more so. But with Liam at his best, Adam and Dunky playing blinders, and Buckley doing his best Gerry Fell impression, we walked it.

Burnley and West Ham were poor.
I thought Brizzle today were no worse than Barnsley or Peterborough (hence the scoreline)

So we lose 1-0 to bad teams, and beat mediocre teams 2-0? :albion:

they were pretty awful against an an understrength albion side

without noone, lua lua, greer.......and cms and jfc for most of the game

really not great, and very underwhelmed by their potentially threatening front line
