What is this 'Car Tax' omni shambles you speak of ?
Not at all, after this weeks show I'm even MORE confident especially as the next omni shambles is only round the corner like the Car Tax
Tax-free personal allowance to be raised from £10,500 to £12,500
40% rate raised from £41,900 to £50,000
Abolish zero-hour contracts
NHS budget protected
...and much, much more.
A veritable masterclass in how to deliver to an audience unlike forgetful Ed.
I hope Miliband has not paid a deposit for the removal men next year.
The promise to abolish zero hours contracts is hot air. The only way to do this within the strictures of English contract law is to require that every contract for work have a minimum number of guaranteed hours. Clearly, employers will only guarantee the minimum, and the workers who suffer from irregular earnings and hours will have the same problems they do now. And they'll have their tax credits frozen to boot (Osborne has already announced this).
Still, I think Cameron won over a significant number of floating voters with his tax cut promise - it's simple to understand, and it allows people to quantify how much better off they would be.
I dread the thought that he might get a majority, as that will put the country on the fast track to withdrawal from the Human Rights Act, ECHR and EU. I know some people are convinced that this will lead to some form of free market utopia, but I'm convinced it's the path to ruin and international pariah status. Plus it will make immigration queues at European airports an f'ing nightmare.
I'd quite like to vote for a party that says something like this:
* We'll attempt to get the deficit down, but much like a 25 year mortgage there really is no hurry as long as we can service it. The national debt is not a major issue when you consider the infrastructure we have, which is essentially our "equity" on this debt.
* We're going to keep income tax roughly what it is.
* We're going to reduce VAT gradually over a ten year period because we realise it is obscene.
* We won't pander to the loud minority who want to decimate our trading links with the EU
* We're going to pay for this by keeping our noses out of wars that we have absolutely no business getting involved in.
I wonder how this will be paid for ? The devil as always is in the detail
In what way exactly ?
Anyone who votes for a party leader who makes up meeting constituents in a public park needs their head read.
Things are just going to get worse and worse and worse, for everyone except the filthy rich who are going to do more than alright out of all of this.

The national debt will never be paid off..It's like a myth to be frank. They could easily pay the debt off by not going to war again, but obviously going to a pointless unwinnable war is nothing new.Not sure if i dreamt this but didnt Osbourne state the other day that the next government will have to make a further £25 billion in cuts - so with the £17 billion shortfall due to the changes in tax, doesnt that mean the cuts will in fact have to total £42 billion ?. Who is going to pay for this ? As i say, i may have dreamt it !
