To suggest we could have avoided relegation comfortably is optimistic in the extreme.

Fair enough. I was more going on the way he got them playing I guess, the 4-1 win against Wolves who'd go on to make the Premiership that year springs to mind. With Hinshelwood in charge we just never looked like scoring let alone winning so you have to question his managerial ability, or lack of, really. Plus it's hard to defend 12 straight defeats or whatever it was.

Lloyd acheived miracles, with his hands effectively tied behind his back, getting us to within 90 minutes of a return to division one...only one manager ever managed to achieve that, no one other than Bazza has even come close.

My votes went to Mickey Pt2, Tinselhead and Case.

IMHO Lloyd gave us some great times. Two all at Anfield and a Wembley play off spring to mind. Wasn't great at telling star strikers they were dropped though.
