He’s actually what we do not have. Midfielder driving forward who scores goals.

You don’t think Lallana, Trossard, MacAllister, Bissouma, Moder or others would ‘drive forward’ or score goals in League One?

Yes, of course they would - but he's just 19 and playing his first season of 'grown up' football. A season in the Championship next year, perhaps - or working with our coaches in the U23s.
I think when he stepped down from Man.City to join us, he might have thought he'd be walking straight into the first team - if he was disappointed he's taken it on the chin and got on with it in just the right way, and is going great guns at Donnie. How good will he get? No idea - but he's heading in the right direction

He is an exciting talent for sure. Man City thought he was special and wanted to keep him.

Only word of caution is that this is league one. I think Connolly would tear it up in that league. That’s why I hope to see Richards in the Championship next year. That will be a really good test of his quality. He looks a real player though.
They wanted to keep him but sold him?

Will he need another season out on loan or can we find a place for him in the match day squad next season?

Two neat finishes today, first getting on to a ball in the box, good late run. Second taking it in a central left channel just outside the box, strong direct run and confident clipped finish across the GK.
He is a real talent. I've said it before, but lovely, lovely feet. Reminds me a little of Pires for some reason. Very elegant.
Will be very interesting to see what happens next year but he surely has to have another year.
He is left footed which is a biggy. I really think he might be a bit of surprise next season.

Another season one division higher up (i.e. The Championship) for me - although maybe a year in the U23s to get a chance to buy into the Brighton ethos before that loan to the Championship would be good - he's still only 20 after all, no rush.
Will be interesting to see what the development team decide to do with him next season. He's certainly done well at Donny though. Very promising.
