Dick Knight is life president. Im sure he knows a good bit! Glenn Murray, in reaction to another poster, would OBVIOUSLY have known whether CMS was coming. For god sake people we are not a poor club anymore. Bloom can afford to spend 20k per week on a player if he wants to. Not only have I got word from two peole but others are claiming the same. Can people just open there eyes. He's on 20 bloody grand a week. END OF.

ok thats what your saying,as you know glen so well, could you tell me what he wanted from brighton?,also how much he got when he joined palace,ie wage and bonus and signing on fee?,all things that you would know,i ask because i would like to see how different you are from what ive been told

Meopham, Kent.
Slow news day. We've just come up from the third division, are people advocating we take the Pompey "spend and be damned" approach to financial success?

I sincerely hope not.

I also hope that Gus isn't even thinking about holding a gun to Bloom head and demanding that we do. Surely everyone involved is far too sensible.

The limit on wages and transfer fees is fine by me if it means we are keeping the finances of the club safe from the red, the contradiction comes when TB stated that he would like premiership football in the nxt few yrs. Of course, it could be possible to find some good players on the cheap good enough to get us promoted, but realistically even with a great manager the time comes when more money will need to be found if that ambition is to be realised.

Where that money comes from is the key, can we make enough from the stadium to pay the extra required from the wages or will TB have to dip into his fortune? that question has yet to be answered. As TB also stated that once we got into the Amex we would have to live by our means, I find it unlikely he will use his own money, therefore we could have a long wait, and maybe it is this fact that frustrates Gus because he`d like to get us there tomorrow.

Pork pie land.
The guy has shown just how out of his depth he is as a Manager. He should NOT be talking in the press about such matters. If I were Tony Bloom, I would be very angry with him.
