Thanks so far guys, all you responses are up in the club section of Nufc-forum.com. It's always interesting to see the fans opinions of the team we are playing. Feel free to do something on our board if you want.

I'm more optimistic after your collapse at Fulham.

Things that nobody tells the Geordies:

Newcastle were on the top of the list for opponents in the FA Cup. This is because they have a big reputation and they are usually not as good as their reputation and they get knocked quite often by lower League teams.

Teams from the north-east do get so much acclaim so far down south as it is so far away. We have only had a 30,000+ crowd at the Goldstone for the visit of Darlington amongst the clubs from the north-east.

In 1983, we nearly got giant-killed by second tier Newcastle and is it was not for Peter Ward's last goal at St. James's Park (Newcastle not Exeter).

Pardew is so ordinary.

  1. Which player do you think NUFC Should worry the most about on Saturday and why?
Will Buckley is our man in form... so unless he is rested, him.
  2. Which player should we least worry about and why?
    Ryan Harley - He's SHIT.
  3. Out of the players we have available for this game who do you think will cause you the most problems?
Hatem Ben Arthur (yes i know, it's ARFA) - Full back is our weakest position and the lad is clearly very good, and may exploit that.
  4. Who do you think you will cause you the least amount of problems? (Insert Shola here for an easy answer )
    Leon Best
  5. I know I've been very impressed with your current team and the Championship is so tight at the top this year, but which position do you think you will end up in this season?
    6th
  6. I know we are in different leagues, but what do you think of us and where will we end up this season?
I like Newcastle. Like Pardew. Santon, Krul, Cabaye, Tiote, Ba and Ben Arfa are all really good players. I predict - 9th
  7. Do you have an opinion on Alan Pardew?
    I like him
  8. Last, but not least, what are your predictions and scorers?
    Brighton 2 (CMS 29' & Vicente 84') - Newcastle 1 (Ben Arfa 66')

Hi All,

I'm from nufc-forum.com, 1zebedee23 is my name over that way. We were hoping we could get your view on the up and coming FA Cup match. It would be great if you could answer these questions so we get a flavor of what to expect!

  1. Which player do you think NUFC Should worry the most about on Saturday and why?
  2. Which player should we least worry about and why?
  3. Out of the players we have available for this game who do you think will cause you the most problems?
  4. Who do you think you will cause you the least amount of problems? (Insert Shola here for an easy answer )
  5. I know I've been very impressed with your current team and the Championship is so tight at the top this year, but which position do you think you will end up in this season?
  6. I know we are in different leagues, but what do you think of us and where will we end up this season?
  7. Do you have an opinion on Alan Pardew?
  8. Last, but not least, what are your predictions and scorers?

Looking forward to playing you and I hope this stuff in the news about sexual assault goes away soon, with the amount of bad press we get I can sympathies with you!

Looking forward to reading your answers and hopefully we can welcome you to St James' Park in the premier league soon.

P.s. Can I just say we need this smiley on our forum so badly ->

1. Buckley without a shadow. LuaLua if he plays and is fit will be bang up for it!
2. All the injured ones and there's lots of them
3. Sammy Ameobi looks tricky
4. Leon Best - our centre halves are well equipped to deal with him
5. Just outside the play offs but with recent form and players coming back you never know
6. Fantastic start and some great results especially against Manure - looking good for a top seven finish but has saturday's game shown up a new fragility. My Toon mates are worried.
7. C**k
8. 2-0 to the Albion. Getting some Newcastle supporting mates around to watch it in my living room. A little corner of Whitley Bay will be blue and white all over for the afternoon. I can't wait to see their faces.....if and when we win. Although a draw would be great for the trip to St James ...its been a while.

It'll be a draw at our place, but we'll win the replay at SJP where Wardy will get the winner.

At Wembley, after extra time,Albion will beat Man Utd 3 -2,as Smith hammers home a last second goal.

Sigh.

Oh,and sadly I think Pardew is an okay manager, though there is an obvious flaw in his pedigree,Shola is an answer, but Best is the best answer, and you should watch out for Vicente. We always do.

I don't know what you're all on about. I like Alan Pardew. How could we not like someone whose teams have so obligingly lost to us, to his agonisingly obvious frustration, in the past?

I'd despise him if he ever actually had the last laugh amid all his David Brent stylings, but so far he never has. He's a comedy figure for me, not a hate figure.

You're not a scout are you?

[*]Which player do you think NUFC Should worry the most about on Saturday and why? On form it has to be Buckley... but you never know Vicente might miraculously appear

[*]Which player should we least worry about and why? Depends which Ashley Barnes turns up

[*]Out of the players we have available for this game who do you think will cause you the most problems? Ben Arfa or Guttierez... those lages are just untacklable

[*]Who do you think you will cause you the least amount of problems? (Insert Shola here for an easy answer ) Him or Lovenkrands or whoever replaces Ba... you have no real cover

[*]I know I've been very impressed with your current team and the Championship is so tight at the top this year, but which position do you think you will end up in this season? Mid-table and will be happy with that

[*]I know we are in different leagues, but what do you think of us and where will we end up this season? Anywhere above 10th would have been a great effort. Not sure about NUFC... want to hate Ashley but think in the long run he might be proved right

[*]Do you have an opinion on Alan Pardew? As a person... w*****r.. as a manager good at managing with nothing

[*]Last, but not least, what are your predictions and scorers? God we might win now you have no forwards bar Best... going 1-0 with a Toby goal

I bet he's the sort of manager that sticks those ludicrous motivational posters up all round the dressing room, reminding the players that "There is no 'i' in team" (FYI, Alan: there are two in "idiot").

Which player do you think NUFC Should worry the most about on Saturday and why?
Will Buckley, been in top form the last few games, and if we line up with Lualua on the other side, he'll definately feel like he has something to prove, so either of the two really.

Which player should we least worry about and why?
Whoever plays at LB, we don't really have alot of pace there so like someone else said, Obertan or if Ben Arfa drifts out wide, it's gonna be trouble.

Out of the players we have available for this game who do you think will cause you the most problems?
Ben Arfa. Big fan of his, tricksy and starting to learn the final ball aspect, he will be a big danger.

Who do you think you will cause you the least amount of problems?
Leon Best. No offense to you lot, but Greer and Dunky have played against similar forwards to Best all season and never had a problem, to me he's your weak link.

I know I've been very impressed with your current team and the Championship is so tight at the top this year, but which position do you think you will end up in this season?
I'll be delighted anywhere in the top 12, if we hit the playoffs I'm in dreamland.

I know we are in different leagues, but what do you think of us and where will we end up this season?
People say they're so shocked as to where you are but you only need to take a real look at the squad and it's no suprise at all. Krul is becomind brilliant fast, Collocini has always been a top class CB and has found his feet, Santon is unreal and has been for a few years despite being young, cabaye and tiote are excellent and compliment each other brilliantly, I just think Jonas and Best are your two weaker strands, Jonas is too on/off and Best I still don't think is good enough. I think you could end up finishing 6th.

Do you have an opinion on Alan Pardew?
I was only 13 at the time of Reading and that so no not really, and he seemed far less of a knob than Adkins at Soton too.

Last, but not least, what are your predictions and scorers?

Score draw would do me beautiful. St James' is on my top 3 grounds to visit with the Albion so a 1-1 would suit me, CMS for us (he seems to like scoring against the north east, and probably Best for you now I've beeb slating him ha!
