Crap performance, Entertaining Game!

Fraser was shit
Murray was woeful
Crossing was pathetic
Free Kicks were abysmal
Midfield non existent

Play-Off hopefuls? not on that performance, mid table all the way!

Midfield had never played together and had clocked up 20(ish) starts together all season.
Murray created loads of chances again but missed them.
One good free-kick...the only one Richards took.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
We were shouting SHOOT in the E-Block and then they finally did! Good free kick from Richards.

Good idea to step down a gear when the points were in the bag. No need to waste energy or pick up any injuries when we have so many games this month.

Entertaining and a pleasing result.

One good out of 3 very good chances, two of them taken by Fraser!
Murray was gash tonight, caught on his heels too much, shooting was woeful, header at far post *I* could've scored!

Good result, but we were given a get out of jail free card when their guy went in reckless and got red carded. Up until that point we weren't at the races.

Credit for taking the game to them after that and good goals from El-Abd and Elphick, who also did well at the back to deal with a very physical frontline.

Fraser was utter pony not just from the free-kicks but general pssing as well.

Can't believe that Murray didn't get a goal tonight. The header in the 1st half was a total sitter, to twice turn the defender and then shot straight at the keeper in the second half.

Have to say Martot impressed, with his contribution and work rate he really seemed to be up for it.

Still bloody baffling why when 4-2 at home against 9 men we bring all 11 players back to defend a corner.

have to say poor performance. chasing shadows at 11 v 11. Got lucky 1st half. 2nd half was dire. 11 men behind ball ? Midfield is awful,

still, 3 points is the thing

Where your shitty little "stadium" should be if you can call it a stadium ia in league 2.

God yeah, it's terrible.

I mean, at one end, there's like OPEN AIR temporary seating, so the fans are exposed to the elements.

Imagine what sort of SHITTY stadium has rickety, open seating at the end! It's a good job it's only a temporary ground for us: can you even begin to think how embarrassing it would be for a club with a permanent stadium of their own to have wonky, uncovered seating at one end?

Oh.

Reckon H Block should be given an official 'assist' for the second goal. Brainless fuckers had absolutely no idea what to do with that free-kick on the edge of the box, having already squandered several similar free-kicks in a pitiful manner. H Block chanting 'Shooooooot' in loud unison seemdd to light up a brain cell somewhere. Easy innit?

Oh, and Murray appears to have Andy 'Andrew' Cole as a role model. Sure he'll score you a goal, but he has to waste four chances first.

Sorry, I'm just bitter cos I had a fiver on the Albion to win 4-1 at 33/1. FDM, you owe me 170 quid

True, but as a counterpoint to that, what about the repeated shouts for Robinson to stay up front and get out the box when defending a corner? When he did exactly that on the third corner after he came on, there was a massive ironic cheer from the south stand. The result of the corner - goal.

The bloke behind me who had loudly been giving Wilkins a load of stick for this was strangely quiet after that.

Possibly slightly unfashionable to say it, but I thought Gillingham's remaining nine players deserved a bit of credit for sticking at it.

Pretty surprised to see the first player sent off (how often do you see a player red carded when none of the crowd are screaming for it?), and when we scored three times in fairly quick succession while their shots hit the bar or whatever, they probably realised it wasn't their day. But even to the end, they were running their arses off, especially that one with the long hair (Miller?), and still trying to score, so fair play to them.

They have a really crap defence though, our corners were suddenly lethal weapons tonight, and that NEVER happens. They looked like conceding every time we broke forward, including when Cullip was on the pitch. Their strikers were lumbering, clumsy and never remotely looked like scoring. All they have is a couple of half decent midfielders, no wonder they're struggling.

Nice to see we've managed to drop them back down into the relegation zone without any of the teams around them even playing.

Gillingham had nine men and when defending a corner put two men on the halfway line. Result we had three men staying back.
We had ten men in our own box defending a corner the result Gillingham were allowed to have all their players in our box. Where is the tactical sense in that?
