Ive just watched the game again, and just want peoples views of the game and where they watched it,
I couldnt get a ticket so i went to the greyhound stadium, the game i thought was the worst i seen all year, until the 120th Minute, i still think of that goal and it always brings a smile to my face
Also i may be able to get copies of the 2nd leg on dvd, if people are interested please email me on Festaxr@yahoo.com

I was in the singing block right in front of krispies so I was slightly deaf afterwards. I agree that it was an absolutely shite game from our point of view anyway! When Virgs popped up at the end our section in particular went absolutley crazy. Krispies went from being behind us to lying down in front of us along with several others!

Into the penalty shootout and the memorable 'hit the bar' chant (although the pen was actually saved), from where I was I though Virgo's pen was going into orbit at first. But the most memorable moment was when the final penalty hit the post. Despite all the hostile noise and being about 100 yards away I can still remember the sound of the ball hitting the post as if everyone had held their breath at the same time! Cue pitch invasion! Marvellous scenes! :clap2: :clap2:

C block, right opposite the penalty spot. What a fantastic night. One guy who sits near us left just before Virgs' header and we said to him that he was going to miss all the excitment - how right we were!

Penalty shoot outs are bad at home but fantastic when you are there!

In the bar in Tolka Park with sbee, his missus, both of the people behind the nick mindyjaja, Irish Seagull, and for the penalties, Liam. And a load of Tolka regulars - Shelbourne Supporters Club members.

No voice by the end of it. Sounded like a 100 a day smoker on the phone, apparently.

B block, right in line with the header. crap weather, fantastic atmosphere (by normal standards), utter SHITE performance.

They scored. And again. There lot were suddenly doing all the singing, i remember watching the south stand, all 4000 of us just staring into space, the players heads had dropped. The singing eventually started again, but it was too late surely. I had given up at the end, watched the last few mins from the top of the steps. Preparing to go when the goal went in.....YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS. Fantastic stuff. Somehow wasn't so tense in the penaltys but still haven't worked out how VIrgs pen stayed under the bar. On the pitch at the end with everyone soaked but chuffed. Felt a little sorry for the swindon fans but what the hell....
MARVELLOUS SCENES

The username on NSC mindyjaja is shared by two people - IIRC their names are Mark and Mandy (one letter each off 70's kitschdom)

Wardywonderland - 18, across the board. 18 for restuarants, pubs and clubs; illegal to raise it to 21 anywhere. However, its not enforced...
