I find the fact that in no way whatsoever am i a bit camp, but ppl looked almost shocked when i tell them, another really annoying misconception, all gay men are obviously outwardly gay acting. This is the fault of the media.

I don't like the fact that many gay men on television have to conform to a stereotype-or at least think they have to. It feeds the tabloid image.
Im not at all 'obvious'. I follow rugby, football-many sports and dress in quite an 'alpha male' way. But then again if you looked at my record collection..... :safeway

Ha!! well mine does not even extend to music. A bouncer asked me at Revenge once "You do know this is a gay venue don't you" How bloody annoying

Well, i just find alot of the scene pretty awful. I rarely go out these days to gay venues, if i en up in one as part of a big night then fine. Larry Grayson, John Inman(to a point),Graham Norton and Alan Carr are big names on tv and very funny, but the media deem this acceptable 'gay'. I have made a point in my life not to hardly ever mention that i am gay at work for example because my view is that if i do not want people to think being gay is an issue then i should not raise the issue anyway. People know, but in a subtle dignified way and not Alan Carr style
