The World's End is one of my locals so I go there a fair bit, it's a bit of a surprise to find such a decent pub on that part of London Road. Special mention for Northern Lights for having great urinals, you can't go wrong with a little football to aim for.

Granted places that do not serve real ale, tend to be a bit chainy, but an odd definition all the same. Click to expand... Agree with this and I love real ale. As you say, the ones that don't tend to be Yates-esque, but with a decent lager selection, it's all good. Anyway, along with 90% of people here, Basketmakers.
