Possibly crossed wires here.Shhhh ..... want do the stars stand for ?
I mean it is a literal electoral win for an NSCer. It seems there were more than two NSCers running in these elections.

When last Labour held power in the city, isn’t what they did? I seem to recall a get lost attitude to the Greens. If the Greens do badly here it'll probably be because of ward boundary changes, a reaction to them leading the Council through Covid, a recession and dealing with cuts and the national swing to Labour. What concerns me as a democrat is that Labour will probably try to introduce a cabinet style of council which will disenfranchise anyone who didn't vote for them.
Snigger .... can't help but wonder where he is on here ?2019 Withdean (unelected)
2023 Hangleton & Knoll (unelected)
2027 ? (unelected)
Please put him up in South Portslade. Pretty please with sugar on top2019 Withdean (unelected)
2023 Hangleton & Knoll (unelected)
2027 ? (unelected)
But wouldn't that mean that a certain multi-account NSCer has blown two safe Tory seats in two elections. Shirley that can't be rightI think they were the incumbent councillors going into the election.
May change as Preston Park and St Peter's aren't in. Regency may go Labour. Can't see any more Tory seats.Conservatives have more cllrs than the greens now
Greens never had a majority. They needed Labour to put things through on the majority of issues. The line that they are only responsible is a myth.Hopefully some common sense policies will be put forward by them. Undoing some of the damage caused by the Greens can be reversed
I think you know more about BHCC politics than me and more people.@Weststander Yes, they went for a referendum for an elected mayor and cabinet style. They lost.
Seems bizarre that a Labour Council wouldn't want a ULEZ as one has successfully been introduced in London by the most powerful Labour politician in England.
@Westdene Seagull Yes, the Greens made some tactical errors with the public toilet closure proposals and maybe some others. Let's see what Labour cuts. It may not be the verges.
There won’t be but the question is will the greens grab anymore, word is Labour won both seats for Brunswick & Adelaide but not by much hence the recount, Allbrook will demand a recount each time until she gets the result she wants!May change as Preston Park and St Peter's aren't in. Regency may go Labour. Can't see any more Tory seats.
Who were the Tory candidates? @SF?It seems that anti-muslim and disabled jokes are still enough to get you elected in Westdene though.
As if I didn't already despair of the electorate of this country, just when you think they couldn't get more stupid, bigoted and insular, they pull one out of the hat yet again
What ward are you in?Who were the Tory candidates? @SF?
