Alzate can't STILL be jet lagged...

No, this is tactical. Designed to combat counter attacks in games when we expect to have a lot of the ball and face teams sitting deep. Expect Alzate to be back in games where teams are pressing us higher up the field and we want to pass through them.

You'll see that White will be sitting on their attackers when we have the ball, whereas Alzate would always be in space when we had the ball. We played nice football but always at risk of the counter

Personably would have liked to see Alzate come back in and White drop back but still a good side. Plenty of attacking options if games isn’t going our way which is a welcome change.
