But how is he allowed to play with nothing protecting his shins. Taking it to a new level.Dibling by far Southampton's best player
Perv has been very poor defensively, Igor keeps bailing him outPretty good.
Our weak areas are Lamptey getting caught out wrong side, and they seem to be beating Estupinan for fun (overloading?).
They’re not ‘beating’ Estupinan per se (as in beating him 1v1) he’s just far too high up the pitch when we’re playing down our right side. When we lose the ball one of their strikers runs the channel and it gets played in behind Pervis. Just need to adapt his positioning when we’ve got the ball, especially now we’re in the lead we can be abit more solidPretty good.

First time I’ve seen Atari and I’ve thought he’s looked decent. Defo something there
Yep he is a good DEFENDER, he INVADES SPACE really well and is always looking to BREAKOUT from midfield he doesn’t seem to run the GAUNTLET sometimes it’s like watching PELE’S SOCCER I hope he continues his development to help us get into POLE POSITION
Is it coming from the JAMES POND?I can't believe it took this long for a reply like this. Maybe people are concentrating on that PONG in Falmer.
Stains trying to play a poor man’s version of De Zerbi ball against Hürzeler ball - possession heavy, playing out from the back and inviting the press - leaky in defence and lacking precision in attack.Odd to see us not having the best of the possession, but we certainly look far more dangerous on the attack than they do. Would have been nice to have had the cushion of a second goal by H/T (and we deserved it on chances alone).
Saints still look pretty good, tbh, and an early second half goal for us would definitely help the nerves.
Mine, at least.
