This squad is not good enough for this level, going to be a long hard season
First half of that sentence is utter codswallop, the second half is very true.

This is our worst start since being in this devision

I feel your pain and we all know there is no chance of getting rid of VAR meaning most matches will be re-reffed by incompetent muppets at Stockley park for the foreseeable. Players exploiting the system too It's all just a bit meh
Regardless of the maths the facts are the same one win in a year u happy with that at home ?

I am a big Potter fan but his motivational powers were dwarfed by the Saints manager tonight. We were absolute shite second half and second to everything. WBA second half again. Bad management from Potter tonight, where was the fire in the belly second half?
Potter takes the blame imo. He needs to learn to throw teacups
Its ridicilous to blame it on motivation.
Im not saying Potter had nothing to do with the loss. He could have done things different tactically and probably different to deal with the new situation, but if you think the players were not motivated to win their first league game in 8 months or soin front of fans, you're wrong.
Some of you lot are such pant wetters. We get cheated by clearly corrupt decision and you all turn in the players instead!?
The referee team cost us a point. Let them have it not the players.

And that is our hope really, that the kids turn on VAR (and this culture of cheating) too. The worry is, do they turn on VAR or do they start diving in the playground?
Then make them play it in the playground then - asphalt hurts! That'll learn 'em.Having watched U12/13/14 in recent years, cheating is rife. Kids watch TV.
That’s nice, but how does that jive with your remark “We don’t belong in this league”?
A claim I find fairly ridiculous given we have survived this long here.

The initial contact was certainly outside the box, just as certain as it was not that contact that the foul was awarded for but for the contact on the leg which occurred either on the line or just outside. It was soft, it was silly but corrupt? Have a day off
A penalty being awarded for a clear foul about a foot outside the area. Southampton created as little as us but obviously bunged the refs a few quid.
Yep I am 100% blaming Potter for not geeing the team up for the second half. Being second to the ball for virtually the whole of the second half is unacceptable. The players have no fear of getting a bollocking when they come off the pitch imo, it’s a big weakness in a PL team manager when that happens. For him not to be angry after that says it all
I don’t think it was corrupt; it was just a shit decision. I can’t understand the VAR official’s thinking.
I take your point but why when Saints obvious upping it did we panic and start playing like a pub team. We were soft. We haven’t gone for the jugular enough this season.
