I was the furthest one away from the north stand and it was still louder than normal in east [emoji16] Screenshot_20201207-221613_Gallery.jpg

No way initial contact outside engage eyes

The initial contact was certainly outside the box, just as certain as it was not that contact that the foul was awarded for but for the contact on the leg which occurred either on the line or just outside. It was soft, it was silly but corrupt? Have a day off

I am a big Potter fan but his motivational powers were dwarfed by the Saints manager tonight. We were absolute shite second half and second to everything. WBA second half again. Bad management from Potter tonight, where was the fire in the belly second half?

Potter takes the blame imo. He needs to learn to throw teacups

Its ridicilous to blame it on motivation.

Im not saying Potter had nothing to do with the loss. He could have done things different tactically and probably different to deal with the new situation, but if you think the players were not motivated to win their first league game in 8 months or soin front of fans, you're wrong.

The two positives I’d take from tonight is another full game for Welbeck and If Southampton as a team are representative of 5th in the Prem then there’s hope for us all.

Yep I am 100% blaming Potter for not geeing the team up for the second half. Being second to the ball for virtually the whole of the second half is unacceptable. The players have no fear of getting a bollocking when they come off the pitch when they show so little fight imo, it’s a big weakness in a PL team manager when that happens. For him not to be angry after that says it all.

I am still #teamPotter though

Some of you lot are such pant wetters. We get cheated by clearly corrupt decision and you all turn in the players instead!?
The referee team cost us a point. Let them have it not the players.

We have 10 points from 11 games and have won the fewest amount of games in 2020 in the entire football league.

Let folk be a bit pissed off for the evening eh

I take your point but why when Saints obvious upping it did we panic and start playing like a pub team. We were soft. We haven’t gone for the jugular enough this season.

That’s nice, but how does that jive with your remark “We don’t belong in this league”?

A claim I find fairly ridiculous given we have survived this long here.

I never said this club does not belong in this league I said this SQUAD is not good enough, our home form and points tally tends to back that up ,

That's not the first time you've called some one wrong on this thread -you can be awfully arrogant some times.
I don't actually think it's a motivation issue but you have no idea how motivated the players are. You have no idea what was said at half time. You have no idea.

I don’t think it was corrupt; it was just a shit decision. I can’t understand the VAR official’s thinking.

Okay, you do that, I see about a dozen other factors to blame. Lack of motivation does not happen in the Premier League, you dont become a Premier League or even a Championship player without almost pathological desire to win and a hatred of losing. There is no way the team wasnt motivated, other flaws lead to this loss.

Game of options of course. Just calling out the ridiculous calls of corruption in favour of the mighty Southampton.

I definitely agree about the panic, it was very obvious. Very mindless especially in second half.
