No VAR in the league cup is there?

Hopefully not - just being 4th official is bad enough though.

Reffing our next game too

Not until the quarter-finals.

Viewing wise, this is a £10 on the Carabao website job again? Or elsewhere?

Epic memories of the 92-93 campaign. Matthew Edwards, Aussie hero. Looked like he’d come straight out of Neighbours too!

Was it really as long ago as 92 we met in this cup? Wowsers, can still remember Matthew Edwards goal clearl as anything.

And of course David Beckham made his Man Utd debut off the bench that night, although I recall moaning that their stars weren't playing!

Pretty sure Matthew Edwards was British. You're thinking of the equally blond David Clarkson who was another we pinned our hopes on in the dark times. He was very much an Aussie and looked like he came straight out of Ramsey Street.

That game when Matty Edwards shut his eyes and headed a goal vs United was of course the same game Beckham made his Man U debut. I remember him taking up position on the right wing near Nandos and Burger King.

At the end of my tether
After their dire showing last Saturday they all deserve to be made to play tonight to show they can do better , but I expect that they like us will field an EFL cup team .
No predictions but it is within our power to win this. We have a strong team that can play , so lets get at 'em!:albion2:

With the 23s playing against Charlton tonight will we see more first team players that previous rounds.
Sadly I think we'll be going out of the EFL Trophy tonight. Charlton would be tough to beat anyway, but as I'm pretty sure it will be more or less the U18s plus Crofty, I can see us taking quite a beating. Pity really, the EFL Trophy would actually be quite good to be the first academy team to win it.

Two games in one evening for little old Brighton, and Mourinho is moaning (nothing new there!) about three games in 6 days for the mighty Spurs!

I reckon it'll be the same team as the last round but with Molumby in for Sanders.

I'd like to see the following team:

Steele

Lamptey
Veltman
Roberts
Burn

Propper
Molumby

Ali J
Ally Mac
Gross

Connolly

Harsh on Bernardo but I think the defence looks more balanced this way. Burn is a better LB than Bernardo, I'd like more game time for Roberts, Veltman should probably play in his strongets position against a team as strong as man utd and Lamptey is young, he can play an hour midweek and a full match on the weekend.

It's also harsh on Gyokeres but I'm not convinced he's good enough yet so I think Connolly would pose more of a goal threat. Plus with Bissouma returning at the weekend we can rest Connolly and play all four of Bissouma, Alzate, Lallana and Trossard.

I thought Propper was injured and will miss the game?

I'm pretty sure it will be the same lineup as vs Portsmouth and Preston but perhaps with one of Maupay/Connolly on the bench, and one of Sanders and Roberts benched to make room for Molumby.
