If I was Potter and didn't get a striker in January, I'd be off. He's doing the best anyone could with mid-level championship attackers. Time is really now to back him. Show some ambition.

The fact Locadia came on, when his contract should have (see what I did there? We all know the grammar police love to jump on my posts) been terminated two years ago - is beyond a joke now. Would rather Andone

Tbf to Maupay, it looked to me more like a look of frustration and disappointment with himself. Rightly so too. Didn't look to me like he was feeling sorry for himself as such. I'd be more worried if he went off smiling.

The biggest worry from that substitution is who we brought on to replace him. Such a shame Welbeck is so often injured. Head and shoulders the best striker option we currently have.

Locadia did nothing to justify his place on the bench. Why oh why can't GP try Ferguson on the bench?
Could not be any worse.

We wouldn't have scored if we were out there all night. That being said, I'm more infuriated by our sheer inability to produce anything from a set piece. How many corners and free kicks did we have in that game? I'm not sure a single one even found an Albion head, let alone fashioned anything close to a chance. Sometimes when the attackers don't have their shooting boots on, something needs to happen from a dead ball situation. Deliveries were consistently poor and nothing imaginative whatsoever.

Really could / should have won that, Maupay would normally have scored two, he isn't THAT bad! Rest was excellent and we should have been cruising, shame for the other players that it isn't ever easy.
Very dissappointing but we move on.

I look around our team and just think " F@K he's good!"

Who played badly (and I Mean awful) tonight?
Were the team Sh!te??
We just didn't score, yeah it is REALLY FRUSTRATING but goal scoring strikers are bl00dy expensive.

Khadra has been scoring of late. And a fit Longman is scoring and creating.

No surprise that the team got booed off at the end, another toothless showing. Should've been 4 or 5 up but instead we have Maupay and Locadia to rely on.
Everyone else was quality, Cucurella was motm for me, Lamptey a close second. Webster was good going forward, Trossard was brilliant, just that final third again.
We absolutely must sign a decent striker otherwise it will be history repeating year after year.

Potter saying in his post match interview that he can't understand the booing at the end after such a fantastic performance. I totally agree with him.

Having said that, I can see the fans frustration with the finishing. Also, I'm not going to games anymore, so I'm in no position to criticise those that have made the effort to be there.

We should be doing to Leeds what Liverpool did to Southampton today but here we are, fighting to save another point with a "Bore Draw" which Leeds will no doubt see as a small victory.

Although many including me will agree with you to an extent, Jota who scored for Liverpool cost £40-45m. Salah and Mane cost around £35m each (and all three would go for £100m or more if sold in January).
A decent striker is hard to find, and we are not in that league.

But, I think we did well today. It wasn't a "bore draw", it was a fantastic performance (best of the season) apart from the end result. There were so many positives from the match (Lamptey, Cucurella, Trossard etc).
The only problem was bringing on Locadia, which was depressing.

Your central point is true, we do need a clinical striker, but also Midfielders who can shoot straight (sorry Biss, you are a fantastic player, apart from your shooting).

There was absolutely no justification for booing that performance. Even Mr Leeds Beckford said were were the best team by a country mile.

Booing is for when people aren't trying or give up.

I wasn't there tonight either.

But a "fantastic performance" is a win. This wasn't. And the oppo were mediocre at best. So the post match interviews from young Tariq (who I love) and from Graham were a bit disingenuous. From GP in particular. Scoring isn't some optional extra.

Maybe a loan spell for a championship team if we do manage to sign one in the January window?

What would that achieve? We'd still have Locadia and Connolly as our other options, both of whom are behind Maupay in the pecking order. It would make no sense to let our second best striker go on loan.
