Well, we improved last season, and I think we've improved again this season. Obviously not enough for some people.

Lamptey looks very promising and White looks like a PL player - so yes - an improvement. The problem is that most of the other PL teams have improved as well

I think most people would agree we have played the better football and lost.
First half yes - second half not so much.

Chelsea are not a good team - they have talented individuals but the sum is not as good as the parts.

I'll be honest, I am getting really fed up with thinking "we deserved better than that" after games. Really, really fed up with it.

Well I’m feeling completely bloody fed up about tonight. There’s been stuff going on that’s kept me from watching much of the match. We looked pretty decent for the little I saw up to half time and yet all I get is alerts saying we’re losing more.

I’ll watch the extended highlights later but should I be angry/bothered/worried?

No need to watch the highlights - it was the same as loads of our games last season.

Real shame that, despite really enjoying watching the way we play, it's so excruciating too, and the same issues persist.
Although this was moneybags Chelsea, so we'll see...

Welcome to the Premier League. That's how she goes.

I feel more the opposite
(call me glass half-empty). Dunk and Lamptey are our best players, without them both, I feel we would really, really struggle to survive - not counting Lallana and White at this stage.

I'm glass ¾ full.

I hate those last twenty minutes when we're more than a goal down against one of the big boys. Never look like seriously getting one back and the more we try, the more we misplace passes as we don't really have a plan B.

Oh well, thought we were excellent and better than Chelsea for 65 minutes. Undone by one stupid goal (the first) and two very unlucky ones. Newcastle game should be really interesting and entertaining - two very well matched sides.

One of my favourite moments of the match was Lamptey lamping the ball at Zouma's crown jewels - it was like he was getting him back for trending on Maupay's ankle in the first half. :lolol:

I was impressed with the way we played although pretty much gave up after the third goal

In my opinion Webster is the weak link in the defence

I don’t think Connolly is good enough either

I would like to see another striker ASAP a lump rather than another little bloke, I would settle for Pukki at the moment I really would

Performance was very good and we had the chances to get something from the game but did not take them.

Let’s hope the injuries are nothing serious

I think if we’d have had Werner up front, we still would have lost. The football is nice but the cutting edge in creating enough chances is not quite there. Yes we missed a good one but most teams do, you create others but it didn’t happen. Also defensively we are not quite there either, conceding so soon after scoring is typical of that

Hes a good player, did well last season and admittedly was poor tonight. Can't judge him on one game, but a prolonged spell of poor form or injury will be trouble.

Jurgen how much for Rhian? Get it done.

Not just one game, Why do people keep saying that, He was dog shit WBA friendly.

Lallana seemed to walk off fairly ok, probably just knew he didn’t want to exacerbate anything.

White I am worried about. Didn’t miss a game for Leeds so unlikely to be overly cautious.
