Our passages of play are ALWAYS top drawer (maybe ignoring Luton).

It's breaking down the opposition in the final third where we struggle. It took two incredible assists, and two headers, to get the goals today - but if it wasn't for the scoreline, you wouldn't be saying that this was a top performance.

We've played better in some games where we haven't got the result. I can understand why it's difficult to look past the scoreline when assessing a performance though.

This was a 6/10 performance, but a 9/10 result. 4 moments of brilliance from individuals got the result today, rather than an outstanding team effort.
It's pretty hard to agree with that opinion. No, sorry, it's very very difficult to agree with that opinion. Or maybe it's just impossible to agree with that opinion.

We were really good mate. Like, really good. Palace were shit too, sure, but what was hard to like about what we did? Gave the ball away stupidly once, maybe twice in the game? Conceded a couple of weak pot shots, couple of corners, and just one decent chance other than the goal? Dominated possession, were clinical in attack, had some amazing creativity in our goals, and were incredibly professional when they had the tiniest sniff at 3-1. Think they had a half chance to make it 3-2 in the 73rd minute and there were a few kittens where I was sitting. We then got the ball, and a Palace player didn't touch it till the 78th minute. A masterclass in killing the game. We could have played crosses had shots, played through balls, but we didn't, we kept it and kept it and basically shut that game DOWN. I was very impressed.

We were good. Dunk, Igor, van Hecke, good. Verbruggen, good. Gilmour, Gross, Hinshelwood, Lamptey, good. Ferguson, Pedro, Buonanotte, good. Lallana, Baleba, Welbeck, Estupinan, Fati, good. RDZ, good.

All good mate 👍

Tough to get up to speed quickly to the pace of the Premier league especially as I think he is only 19
Yeah I felt for him. He was dreadful and his error led to our third but what a horrible time to come on and make your debut for a kid.

Ultimately though, it was his decision to join that shower if shit so he’s only got himself to blame.

£18m and £4m of add ons. Typical Jan panic buy by the Nigels.
Meanwhile for us, Fati back, Mitoma back for Spurs and possibly Adingra …. Come on Mali.
I'm struggling to understand the finances at Palace. They are going around the various banks with a begging bowl to anyone who will listen to their sorry club because they are £45 million short to build their "new" stand. Then they spend more than any other club in the Premier League in the January window, on a championship skeleton.

Just so bizarre !!

Roberto de Zerbi, speaking to MOTD:

"We played very well, we played with pride. We suffered a lot after the Luton game and we showed our quality, our human qualities."

"I knew before the game after Luton it would be like today. I know my players, I know their human qualities. I am proud when we win or lose because I believe in them, I respect them as people first of all and as players."

"In the second half we tried to keep the ball. You have to understand when is the time to keep the ball and when is the time to attack the space."

"My players are playing very well in my time here. We are fighting, we are seventh in the table. The fans can be proud and happy. I think we are fighting more than our possibility because we are playing with a lot of injuries."

Want to hear from my BOIS @Dougie and @Se20 before I comment - Sussex police won that game banning the ultras from coming in - conspiracy again 🤷🏻‍♂️

He did acknowledge with a wave our “Super Roy Hodgson” chant.

Either rude, or arthritis of the rotator cuff.
I didn't see that. If he did then fair play to him also. His comments would indicate he knew we did a job on them today, has no complaints and is taking it on the chin.

Bet you're a bundle of laughs to live with. FFS, we BATTERED the scum today 4-1 and that's your summary?

No pleasing some.
