Lewis Dunk, speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"We had to react after Tuesday night where we were nowhere near it. We started on the front foot and it paid off."

"We killed the game off in the first half. A top performance from everyone. It is always nice to score a goal and especially in a derby."

"Hopefully now we can go on a run of winning games."

The number 20 for Palace - Wharton - who I think they have just signed was AWFUL, one of the worst performances from an opposition player at the Amex.
He reminded me of this lad:

I know the emotions are ecstatic but it's football. A free header early on from a corner which is a surprise and the low block tactics are in trouble. A crazy 1 minute where 2 goals are scored and the game is won. Otherwise it could have been another frustrating game
But that's the fine margins in a game, the Paace header for 3-1 may have been a winner if that early goal hadn't been scored,

He had a bad game but we've got to be a little fair to him.

Premier League debut, in a derby, in a terrible team.

What did I tell you lot earlier…Today is the day. Ok wasn’t 3-0 like I predicted, but 4-1 will do!

I was surprised just how poor palace were, their two new signings looked like rabbits in the headlights
That's what happens when you panic buy in January. I'll stick with our model.

Roy Hodgson, speaking to MOTD:

"A very bad result. In the first half we were comprehensively outplayed. They played extremely well."

"I thought in the second half the players did the best they could to stay in the game to give ourselves a chance. It is a derby game, a game that is important to Palace people and when you lose 4-1 it is a bad day."

"You can always try to analyse a game and find a way of saying 'if only this or that happened' but the bottom line was that Brighton were better than us today, they deserved to win the game."

"Dreams and hopes are one thing but at the same time there is reality and the reality today was, despite our best efforts, we were outplayed by a better team."

Nice to see he's still with it. A lot of old people aren't.
