“We started the game well. We could have won but got a point. We need to look forward."

“We conceded in the first half but knew we could win this game. We tried to score at the beginning of the second half. We wanted to win.”

On the penalty

“I tried to control the ball and then [Saliba] hit me. It’s good that I scored. I always try to be positive with goals and assists. I like the feeling [of scoring] and hopefully I’ll score more.”
Midget Jennings trying to stir it on TS …first two Arsenal callers not really bothered by it ..keen to concentrate on their sides poor display ….hilarious …the tit is confused

"I think we did quite well. We shouldn’t have conceded the first goal. That shouldn’t happen to us, but you can see a lot of character in the boys. We need to be more consistent."

“We have a really young team. The average age of our team is 23. It’s tough sometimes, but our guys fight for everything. Maybe you need a bit more experience to manage the game."

“In some parts we are really good. Consistency is an important thing for us to get back where we need to be.”

(On Arsenal’s opener)

“[Ethan Nwaneri] was totally free on the right, so he was able to come inside. We should have done better as a team.”
Honest interview. Looks like he was really disappointed with the conceded goal. I like that responsibility

Even the other presenters think he’s a dick, why he gets a platform to talk utter bollocks is baffling.

Well thanks God for the apocalyptic walk home. As if the freezing temps weren't enough.

My take homes from that:

1. Pretty shambolic first half, players not sure what they were supposed to be doing and little pattern - against a genuinely not very good arsenal.

2. Gruda O' Reilly and Adingra, dogshit in the first half and Adingra lucky to get any more time.

3. Big and good changes and much more structure in the 2nd Half - Rutter holding hre ball and being physical compared to whatever the hell Gruda and MOR were supposed to be doing made a huge difference.

4. Veltman doing what he does.

5. Doesnt always do it for me, but I thought Ayari was man of the match.

6. Pedro carrying the fight in the 2nd half excellently meant I didn't have to be annoyed at him doing the arms.

7. I don't really like to whinge about refs but he's a fùcking shocker. I'm still fuming at THE WORST one which was him giving a foul against Minteh as he only managed to turn his lazy arse around to see Mintehs reaction to having his shirt pulled while breaking against 2 opponents for about 10 yards. How him and the lino can't figure that out between them is shocking. He latent seeen the pen so no idea but looked soft.

8. Arsenal's hilarious set piece drills and Arteta pushing his SP coach around as if to say 'go on then! Sort them out!' They were so busy getting their little Strictly routines right they kept forgetting to actually head the ball.

9. Arsenal wasting time on 38 minutes against Brighton = enjoy your title Liverpool.

10. Adingra. One beauty every 15 games, but he's not for me I'm afraid.

First half too many light weights , Gruda needs to go out on loan and get some experience and toughen up ,
MOR was completely out of his depth , Second half much better , subs made the difference
and as for their goal too many mistakes from our defence and the keeper was poor , thought he should of saved it ,

We've managed to boil Arteta's pish twice in one season, so that's a positive.

Much better second half with the physicality of Rutter. Thought Arsenal looked leggy last 15. Shame we didn't win but that's a point gained IMO.

Arteta having a right good moan saying it wasn’t a penalty.
Jamie Rednapp sums it up well.
The fact that Arteta is pissed off pleases me greatly.
He was lucky his player wasn’t sent off, in rugby that was a nailed on red card. Tackle was much too aggressive

Poor first half and so slow. Well done to Fab for the subs at half time and the team for putting in a great 2nd half performance. Team deserved the draw if not more and that winning run is not that far off.

I'm not sure Gruda is a lack of toughness but he wants too many touches and dribbles into dead ends. Really reminds me of Buonanotte in his first bit of season and a half. I think Gruda will be great, but - Hindsight and all that, we'd have been better off keeping FB for the season and letting him stay at his germna club for thr season. The one before was his breakthrough season playing with a team he knows. Could have grown up a bit more there.

Agree about MoR. Hopefully he'll get with it, but seems, and sorry for some 1990s descriptors, a bit of a fanny.

Back in East Sussex
Went into the ground expecting nothing. First half very frustrating. Second half a lot better. The team is improving.

Looking forward to Norwich next week; less pressure, hopefully - giving other players a go and maybe not a draw!
