That's the key here. GP has had 55ish games and we're getting worse. Results are getting worse, our performances are getting worse yet we've arguable got the best squad in our PL tenure. For those saying keep the faith, a serious question: how long are you willing to wait for this mythical turning point when GP's system works?

until gp is provided with a mid-table striker

Arsenal players responded at HT to Arteta.
Simple as that.
Utter shit.

I sometimes wonder if GP even goes into the dressing room at half time, judging by the way we start 2nd half in response to the opposition. WBA and today are good examples.

Does seem strange these second half performances. It's almost as though the other teams just play to lull us to sleep and go in at 0-0, and then come out to play properly after half-time. We simply seem unable now to step up that gear. A lack of urgency and passion isn't there.

.....that can only be down to the manager. I simply don’t believe he can inspire this lot and it’s a major problem

We don’t spend 80 mins in our half shitting ourselves and playing for a draw?

But pass it about sideways, play it forward to nobody etc etc. Concede almost every time a team attacks. Show no urgency, no drive, no desire, no leadership, no ideas, no creativity, no resilience, no decisiveness etc etc.
Man U at home?

I’m not going to blame Potter for the missed chances in the first half or the lack of passion in the second, that’s on the players, but that game was there for the taking. Or at the very least a point. The numerous changes to the starting 11 & another change of formation seemed to confuse us more than it did Arsenal, & that is on Potter. What we currently have up front is only good enough for a relegation scrap & the other players won’t play with consistent quality if they’re messed about each game. We need a settled formation & Bloom needs to go after a decent striker in January.

A couple of weeks ago (maybe not even that long ago) we were looking at our chances of overhauling Arsenal and getting into 15th. place. Two games later we're seven points and four places behind them. Its not good.

Same old story - good performance. Deserved more.

Lack of investment in the playing squad is costing us a lot. The club expects us to play like the best, but barely invest in the playing squad. Potter has an impossible job.

If we had Lacazette OR Aubameyang, let alone both, we would be flying this season.

As usual, lots of positives - but the squad is simply not able to get results.

It wasn't a good performance, it really wasn't

The entitlement is frankly ASTONISHING

Centrebacks on both wings, chipping the ball in vaguely towards wide players / midfielders standing in the box.

Its not really worked, for some reason.

I can’t bear it. Each time the ball was pinged out wide it lands at the feet of Veltman or Burn or Gross, with the best will in the world how are they going to burn past anyone and do something surprising? Best chance we’ve got is a Cruyff turn from Gross and the ball ending up in the keeper’s gloves.

For-those of you talking about poor second half performances like this one it’s simple- play 5 players that haven’t played much this season and they will not be match fit and tire badly, which is exactly what happened with Ali j, Mac, propper, Bernardo and veltman

No recognised striker on the pitch until 67 minutes. A left back playing as a left winger. Dan Burn defending against a rapid Saka. Very confusing,

Are they players actually playing for Potter? Is that the problem? They don't look like they care. Anyone who doubts this needs to watch other teams more.
