Brilliant from the midfield trio today. All put in a shift defensively and in attack.

I like Stephens but we need to start with players with better touch and much quicker thought. So much more fluid through the thirds.

Precisely why I don’t rate Stephens! He’s not rubbish, far from, but I just don’t see how we can progress to next level with him and Propper in central midfield. Time for change. Neither are quite good enough for what we need in the PL or GPs set-up. IMO, naturally...

Reborn! Love the guy; anyone who plays with his socks around his ankles gets my vote. Got stuck in all game. Him, Propper, Burn and Mooy the stand outs for me in a great team effort.

You are correct. A much overlooked hallmark of effort, that.

What a fantastic second half.

Thoroughly deserved win, we dominated every aspect of the game after half time.

Wonderful goal and performance from Mooy. Seems to me he's the perfect mix of Stephens and Gross. He was fabulous today, as good a performance from a Brighton player in the premier league as I can think of.

There were many positives today. After a slow first half Duffy got back into the swing of things. Yes he's not the silkiest with the ball at his feet but he's bloody good at what he does. In the second half he came into his own, every time Bournemouth tried to go long there was Duffy to blatter the ball back into their half with that rock of a head of his. And it brought a huge grin to my face when with five minutes to go a bournemouth player shaped to shoot in the box but before it could leave his foot it was blocked by big Duncan Duffy, both hurling themselves at it with that indomitable thou shalt not pass spirit which is their stock in trade.

And Ali J. So, so happy for him. If he plays no further part for us at least he can go out on a high but maybe, just maybe, it's the start of his career with us. He certainly seems better suited to Potter's style than Hughton's.

Basically, what a lovely way to end the year. Well done Brighton.

Mooy exceptional; sign him up now.
Proper, just below exceptional.
Burn, just below exceptional
All the rest, excellent.

Massive result.

... Hopefully bissouma gets a run ahead of Stephens now.
Yes fans on here keep going on about how underrated Stephens is and his hold up play but in games like this we dont want hold up play we want all out attack play :) Potter earning his salt with the team selected today,

OH and did Murray touch the ball???

Brilliant match report! Can feel the love, wish I could been there but hey, wouldn’t have swapped match against Sheff U for the world...;)

Could have been 3 players scoring their 1st goal for us today. Nice to break the pattern of scoring first but not winning, and a good boost going into an important group of fixtures.

If we’d scored up the other end while Bournemouth’s penalty shout was being VAR reviewed would that goal still count if they got the penalty awarded? The whole thing is insane.

I have just had a look and amazingly our statistics are exactly the same as last season Played 20,Won 6,Drawn 5,Lost 9,Goals for 24, Goals against 28. Considering we have played a lot of the top 6 away this season I think this bodes well for the rest of the season.

Much better with Duffy at the back. Hopefully bissouma gets a run ahead of Stephens now.

If Mooy keeps playing like he did today then there'll be no need to worry who plays behind him. He bossed that midfield by himself.

On a similar note Bournemouth got Billing from Huddersfield. We got Mooy. I wonder who got the better deal? :ascarf:

To me that looks in line. How can you tell if Burn is ahead of defender?
