I am still trying to work out how you can be VAR’d offside for a part of your anatomy that you are not allow to score with. How can an elbow be seeking to aim an advantage?

Of course. Timmy would have something mid range, gas guzzling and enviornment destroying that he views as an extension of his own tiny penis.

Some real NSC love

Good stat - we’ve had 11 different goal scorers so far this season. We only had 12 in all of last

I have just had a look and amazingly our statistics are exactly the same as last season Played 20,Won 6,Drawn 5,Lost 9,Goals for 24, Goals against 28.
That is insane.

Considering we have played a lot of the top 6 away this season I think this bodes well for the rest of the season.
We were doing fine last season until the new year, and then the wheels came off. If we can keep the wheels attached this year, it'll be happy days.

Was delighted we tightened up defensively in the second half after a few tricky moments in the first half. First clean sheet for a while. Not mega fluent in midfield but decent enough, happy to get battling wins as that’s always the sign of a team staying up. Screw entertainment I’m entertained when we win
Screw entertainment? I think we were a lot better than you're giving credit for. Sure we had to battle, but there was some skill there too.

On commentary they were discussing an idea to just do a way with lines - if you need lines drawn to tell then it's not offside. Sounded like a good idea to me.
Mmm, sounds ok, but inevitably some goals are going to be ruled out when they're a lot closer than others. There'll be no consistency.

I just think the offside rule needs to be changed a little, to accommodate this new level of accuracy we're now dealing with. The 'daylight' rule, meaning anything under 30cm (for example) is onside. Of course you'll then get examples of people being 31cm off, and it being disallowed, but that will be easier to take than when it's 1cm. Only an opinion, obvs.

I'm confident we'll continue to improve this year. Hopefully a more positive second half of the season results wise !

Excellent, I can now wear my Albion hat & scarf to visit my wife’s extended family in Brighton Michigan later for lunch and drinks....
Oo, we had some US friends from Michigan over today, and took them to their first ever professional sports game. Lucky charms.

Most pleasing result of the season for me..Coming back 48 hours after a slightly unlucky defeat, team and manager given far too much stick by some so called fans and we showed what we can do with some rotated players and excellent coaching. We were magnificent from back to front, but particularly in midfield.

It also gives me more pleasure than it probably should to contribute to another defeat and injury crisis for the most tin pot bunch of undeserving Jeremys this side of Reading. Not even filling half the away end for a Saturday away day up the road? **** OFF :lolol:

Let's hope that's them sent back down towards a division that they richly deserve but that does not deserve them. With any luck Smug Eddie will move on and prove that he can't do it anywhere else without a mysterious Eastern Bloc "budget". They were ****ing woeful and I enjoyed every pass, tackle and goal as we toyed with them like a cat with a dead mouse.

THAT, in spades.

What did they make of it?? Hope they enjoyed it!
The son is an avid PL fan, and he loved it. Although the atmosphere was nothing special, it was obviously a lot better than watching on TV. Sadly they were in the South stand, so I guess most of the action was a fair way away in the second half. Oh, and they missed the first goal  Idiot stewards sent them to the ticket office to get their tickets re-printed - the ticket office checked them and said no, they're fine (which they were), so they got in late.

I was surprised they'd never been to an NFL game. They've watched some College football, which can have truly massive crowds, so it's not like they've not had any experience of a lot of fans. A good performance, a few goals (even though one was ruled out) and a win though, so they were well treated.
