eastern boundaries i would say cedars road/lavender hill/wandsworth road junction, southern boundaries end of the northcote/just past the top of clapham common westside, western boundaries st johns hill/easthill, northern boundaries the river !!!!No-one seems to know where Battersea is (apart from the park).

I see what your saying , but if people ask i say i live in battersea rather than clapham junction.Quite, but even you and me would say we are going to "Clapham Junction", rather than "Battersea".
.. even though Clapham Junction doesn't exist.

cardboard box at the back! seriously , i dont know how long the station has been there but you could say there is no such area as waterloo, or victoria etc, clapham junction is just an area of battersea that has become known as such over a long period of time , the same way that the area round latchmere road is known as the latchmere, or northcote road area is simply 'the northcote'................. to locals anyway !!Because you don't live in railway station ?
