I thought the filming was very good. Was that community copper a knob, or what?

Actually I would say it's been down but is getting a lot better now.

I was not impressed the last time I was down. If we are talking about a city on the up. I think Coventry has been transformed over the years. We even have a great big state of the art super hospital:thumbsup:

Yeah! When he said "I had to play the bad guy then" he reminded me of Gareth in The Office!

Those community coppers reminded me of so much I DESPISE about this country. A couple of little Hitlers out on a power-trip, enforcing pointless council by-laws on people just minding their own feckin' business.

"No, you can't collect for charity down here, go over to the other side of the road please"
"No, you can't sleep on the beach, wake up now and move along please"
"No, you can't pitch your little tent on the beach between these boats. Pack it up and move along please. Don't swear at ME sir, or I'll get a UNIT down here".

f*** me, what happened to live and let live ?

I agree with that. I thought sleeping on the beach was part of the tradition in Brighton. I suppose you can't light a fire now

To be fair, lighting a fire on a pebble beach is never a bright idea as the stones can "invisibly" stay piping hot for hours after the fires put out, so I can understand why that would be banned.

But ffs, there was a guy minding his own business in a small bivvy pitched between a couple of boats at the back of the beach. But the town bylaws dictate that this is NOT ALLOWED, so you get a couple of nazi's in uniform telling him to pack up and sling his hook. What bloody HARM was he doing ?

Christ.

May be lighting fires on a pebbled beach is a bit dangerous but it often happened in my day. Obviously at night. I don't remember any cases of people being harmed by this. I may be wrong though

There were a couple of instances of toddlers burning their feet on hot stones the next day after barbecues on the beach last year I believe.
