Think some of their fans were getting a bit carried away after one successful season - assuming that every player was 100% content and committed at STFC, and that no other L1 club could be in the slightest bit appealing to any of them, should any happen to make an approach. Bit of a reality check for some of them hopefully, in that it seems Greer was more willing to take his chances at another club on the up than they'd willingly believe.

If they think he's not Championship quality, they can always buy him back next year (£500k should do it).
He'll do well in League 2.

It might not be his decision? Pull the other one. Only going to be one person signing his contract on Monday and thats **** himself.

I hope we give him hell. In the past, even recently we sold (Cox, Fallon) or lost on a free (Paynter) but they all went onto better clubs.

Greer hasn't, sure Brighton might be building have a decent future and all the bollocks but they finished below us got beat twice by us easily. Both times with super hero Gus Poyet in charge.

What about this one:

clear has no ambition and done this purely for the money.

he was an injury prone, soon to be out of work, going nowhere defender before Wilson got hold him, and this is the thanks we get.

Good player, classless person. Will fit in well at Brighton.

Hope, he gets a non career ending, not serious injury that keeps him out for 3 years.

**** with a captial C.

For someone who is supposed to have been injured a lot last year and suspended frequently he managed to play 52 games!

is carole really still with us?!

Hasn't been in any of the pre-season pictures or videos on Seagulls World and not envolved or even mentioned in friendly squad news. I think it's safe to say he's gone.

He certainly shouldn't be on that wiki list because he's not under contract, neither is Hart for the matter (but we probably still hold his registration). Plus Caskey is a youth player so not sure why he's on there. Grant Hall is a pro, centre back.

Loving the prediction of Everest that Swindon would be relegated to League 2

Without question the most important signing of the season. Yes, he's been very stupid for getting sent off for violent conduct twice but that aside, he's been absolutely superb. Out of 30 games he's played, we've kept 16 clean sheets. Great positioning, everything starts with him and his distribution has been vital to the way we play. When he's not been in the team we look vulnerable and it's been no coincidence that we've conceded in every one of the four games he's been banned for this time round. Without him, there is no leadership on the pitch. We going to need another one like him for the Championship.
