Please, please tell me he didn't say that. If he did it just shows how pathetically they must view themselves.

Jesus Christ if they think that then there is no hope.

Is 'alright' really such a bad way of describing it? We didn't concede a cheap silly goal like we have been, however messy it may have looked. We didn't lose. It was "alright", if you define 'alright' as "it wasn't what we want or expect from ourselves, we can do better, we will do better, but right now, in this moment, having spent the last 90 mins running around, I'm really exhausted and don't feel like being too negative, afterall a point - on the back of two losses, in the context of how our season has gone - and a clean sheet is not to be sniffed at, but I and can't articulate this sentiment very well because I'm a footballer, not an english professor, PR expert, or media savvy, and I'm really quite knackered"

Back home & in the dry.

On reflection a point after having a man sent off was some sort of result.
It was also a fair result over 90 minutes.

What really concerns me is:

1. How little we created against a team one place above us at the start of play.
2. Our present position in the league is correct
3. We cannot use tame excuses such as players out due to illness/suspension etc
4. How far too many BHA fans think we will get out of this mess, based on nothing other than hope. We have been shite all season. 2 league wins out of 12 games at home now. Utterly embarrassing, utterly pathetic & shameful;
5. How little passion there is amongst most of our first squad.
6. Will Tony Bloom get out his cheque book big style in January & ship half of our squad?
7. Relegation is now a serious proposition

Spot on! - There is a complancy that we will turn this around

Interesting points made....

BUT.....How can we have a team on paper as good as ours (is meant to be) perform so erratically? As fans paying 25 quid to watch a poor showing at HOME AGAIN is not that inspiring.

TB has helped realise the stadium dream, and with the players signed many fans (and bookies) were confident,....so what the hell is going wrong??

As fans we need to see QUALITY as well as ENDEAVOUR otherwise it is a sad state of affairs paying to watch our team we LOVE lose as the opposition are REGULARLY BETTER than us.:wozza:

The JAN window cannot come fast enough as sentiment aside we are OBVIOUSLY not good enough.

"The ladfs will be going home thinking they've done alright" - Tommy Elphick.

Sums it all up really.

Please, please tell me he didn't say that. If he did it just shows how pathetically they must view themselves.

Jesus Christ if they think that then there is no hope.

According to the Argus, what he actually said was: "The lads will be thinking they have done all right themselves but it's two points dropped rather than one gained."

Apart from my obvious typing error, the quote is as I heard it on BBC Snooze interview with Elf. OK, maybe he didn't mean it to come out like that but I (and I suspect we) do not expect our players to be going home thing they've done 'alright' in managing a 0-0 draw against a team just above the relegation zone.

I had a freebie yeaterday but, with the family coming up & the rain coming down, I decided to avoid a domestic and not go. Even the commentry was painfully dull and it's disrespectfull to the paying supporters, who sat in the rain, to put in just another 'alright' performance. Don't we deserve better?

I was looking forward to Wycombe but now I'll not bother, if that's alright.

The argus always has quotes that we hear on the post game show, which also make it onto bbc news sites.

I don't know if that means the players/managers keep giving the same answers to the same questions, or if they all share the interview. Perhaps there was a pause before the "but it was two points dropped" bit and the BBC cut the tape there for brevity (or perhaps more conspirational reasons)
